Every time I come across highlights of this game, I still feel it. It’s almost the same feeling as that Wolfsburg night. Do you know how crazy it is to be 2-0 down after the first leg, yet genuinely believe there’s someone on your team who can overturn it by himself?

That was the Ronaldo I supported.

He gave you a level of belief that almost defied logic. It didn’t matter who the opponent was or how impossible the situation looked. As long as Ronaldo was on the pitch, you will feel there’s always a chance. That confidence wasn’t blind faith either, it came from seeing him deliver in those exact moments over and over again.

Those Champions League nights weren’t just about goals alone, they were about aura. He made impossible comebacks feel inevitable. When he said Atletico shouldn’t celebrate because he’d score three, it didn’t even sound like empty talk. It sounded like a promise. Infact deep inside me, I knew he would score three. I didn’t doubt it for a second. And then he went out there and fulfilled it.

That’s why so many of people became Ronaldo fans. It wasn’t just the trophies or the numbers. It was witnessing someone repeatedly carry the weight of the biggest occasions and somehow rise above them. Those are the moments that will stay with us forever.

Let me add, That was 34 year old Cristiano Ronaldo.
