My proudest moment in medical school was about 18 months ago - when I wrote a resolution to the AMA demanding they speak out against forced DNA collection of migrants. I was shocked when the entire AMA stood with me.
Last week, @DHSgov finally relented.
No voice is too small.
🚨Our study analyzed 138,151 RCs patients encounter to determine which patient and facility characteristics are associated with discharge home and discharge to continued rehabilitation facilities

Fresh paper our team JUST published in @Cancers_MDPI
After radical cystectomy, what factors influence where patients are discharged? Do they go home or to a SNF?
Nearly 140,000 data points! Kudos to my incredible mentor @Cacciamani_MD@USC_Urology

At a Urology conference in Hawaii. My 3 year old daughter just saw two men walk into the meeting room and said “mommy - boys just walked in there. Boys can be doctors too??” 👏👏👏 #WomenInMedicine#ILookLikeASurgeon
@dshoskes@UrolOncol@UrologyList@Uro_Res Good question! While we did not study it, my personal opinion is ED. Just because ED is something that the patient likely struggles with daily and affects their QoL. It's also well studied and sometimes reversible, so patients will often make the effort and start to see results.
Wow, right before Christmas our latest paper made the cover of @UrolOncol !
Urologists aren't "traditionally" front line defense against smoking #tobacco. Here's why that should change!

Another unusual case authored in @UroCaseReports
Melanoma that metastasized to the bladder. Sounds unusual, but evidence suggests most cases go undiagnosed!
A case of malignant melanoma metastatic to the bladder. Presented with severe anemia secondary to intermittent gross hematuria. Perhaps not as rare as a glance at the literature may suggest! @FoleyAndFollies

Here's a fun case I authored in @UroCaseReports with the wonderful team at @UF_Urology !
An inverted urothelial papilloma found in an unusual position: the upper urinary tract.
Credits to the team! @KJCampbellMD@michaelmaidaa
Excited to be a part of this project! Movember is a huge phenomenon in the United States 🇺🇸, but how far does it reach abroad?
Here, we take a look at the men's health phenomenon in Spain to 🇪🇸 see what we can learn!
👨🏻💼The #Movember campaign generates a statistically significant increase in the search trends on “cancer de #próstata” (prostate cancer) during the month of November (both in Spain and worldwide)suggesting that the campaign is effective beyond the English language
