Marissa Rothenberger. One of the 48. Let’s get into it. Bc this is one of the ones that really upset me as a mother and a person who will always advocate for children. Marissa started transitioning at NINE. She lives in a blue state, she has open and accepting parents. So, she never went through male puberty. Her name was legally changed at 12. Marissa Rothenberger has been living as a female since she was 9 years old.
She doesn’t look male, she has never had male puberty. She is a girl. If you saw her, you would say “that’s a girl.” Bc she is. She was OUTED by conservatives and she was subjected to legal abuse and harassment. She was a child. Conservatives said she was 6’0. She was 5’9 and 125 lbs. they used AI images of her bc the actual pictures don’t look very scary at all. Nobody really recruits 4A Minnesota High School Championships. Softball recruiting mainly occurs at the club level. In the history of Marissa’s club, only 2 players went on to play at the college level, neither at major programs. For reference, Texas Bombers has 8 SEC commits on their roster RIGHT NOW.

Outing CHILDREN should be illegal. That’s a child. Her life was irreparably harmed by the anti-trans movement. Her parents did everything they could for her to be passing. What happened to her was cruel and evil. Her teammates, her friends, her school, and her community knew Marissa as a girl.

If my son identified as a girl, I would stop at nothing to have him on puberty blockers. His dad is a 6’3 and a former heavyweight boxer. And I wouldn’t want my child to go thru life being ridiculed - which, if he went thru male puberty as a trans girl, that is what would happen. That’s what the anti-trans movement wants to do to children who are trans. Conservatives want trans people to be ridiculed for life, they don’t want them to easily pass as women. They don’t want lgbtq people to have happy lives. Period. That’s the main thing the anti-trans movement wants.

Marissa never had a huge arsenal of pitches. She pitched 58 mph. She was not going to attract college offers anyhow, but if she had, I wouldn’t have given a fuck bc she NEVER went through male puberty. For reference, LSU’s 2027 commit, Sydney is pitching 72 mph, UCLA’s is pitching 70 mph. You’re not getting college offers at under 60 mph. Texas’ pitcher who won two natties, Teagan Kavan, was in the 68-70 range, NiJaree Canady pitched 75 mph, Karlyn Pickens pitched 79 mph.

This is actually a horrible example bc Marissa Rothenberger was literally too small to generate the sort of power required to be elite. She never had male hormones. What bringing her up proves is that you are not knowledgable about girl’s sports and you are ok with bullying and harming children.

Since the IOC has created a rule for trans athletes to compete in 2003, over 81,000 people have become Olympians.

Out of those 81,000 Olympians a total of 2 have been trans women & one came dead last the other came 37th out of 42 and neither were from the USA.

There isn’t a single trans or intersex woman dominating her sport. Even Caster Semenya, the most famous, & most successful, intersex woman athlete doesn’t “dominate” her sport. Caster has won a total of two Olympic golds medals & holds no world records.

By contrast, Katie Ledecky has won a total of 9 Olympic gold medals and has broken 19 world records since 2013.

Why is Katie Ledecky treated like a marvel, and Caster Semenya and transgender women are treated like mutants?

There currently exists no evidence to suggest that trans women who elect to suppress testosterone (through, for example, gender affirming hormone therapy and/or surgical gonad removal) maintain disproportionate advantages over cis women indefinitely.

More specifically, current evidence suggests any physical performance advantages trans women do not fall outside the range observed among XX women after 2 years of testosterone suppression.
