All things fonts, font-face, and webfonts. FREE, hand-picked, high-quality, commercial-use fonts, even if that means we send you elsewhere to get them.
@TayIorRobinson Hi there, I use Firefox as my main browser and haven't been having any problems. Is it possibly you've got an ad blocker or other extension causing some interference?
@stephensauceda Yep, that's it. Klim is 100% on the blacklist and can't be generated. I'll look into why the generator didn't throw an error message like it was supposed to. Thanks for pointing us in the right direction!
@stephensauceda Right...some foundries have asked us not to generate web fonts at all, regardless of whether or not you have a web license. Because we have no way of knowing, it's easier just to blacklist the files completely. Can you tell me what the font was you were trying to generate?
I never thought that a font could make me cry. IT DID!
@FontSquirrel had a cute, free font called 'Beth Ellen'.
When I downloaded it, there was a PDF included, which was a first. Normally, there isn't any note from a font's creator. Click to view @robjelinski 's full note:
@stephensauceda Hi Stephen....It sounds like you may be running into a problem with our blacklist. It's supposed to show an error, but it's possible there's a bug that's causing it not to show. If that's the case, we wouldn't generate the web font anyway because the foundry has asked us not to.
@photopeacom We've just now enabled Font Squirrel results by default, although because the Font Squirrel library is smaller than Fontspring's, the closest matches will still often be Fontspring fonts.
@Aw336F Hard to say without doing some digging. Have you tried another image or another browser? Could you drop the image here so we can see what you're working on?
