Closing the discussion, @FoodSystems Hub Director a.i. Carlos Watson highlighted the Hub's role in supporting countries to connect priorities across sectors and advance their national #FoodSystems pathways. 💬 "Food systems transformation is not an additional agenda. Rather, it can serve as a platform for advancing multiple development objectives simultaneously."

🌱 Armenia is advancing the priorities identified through the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub's #FoodSystems and #ClimateAction Convergence Initiative.
🤝 Building on the national Convergence Initiative Workshop held in Tsaghkadzor in March, government representatives and development partners recently came together to validate Armenia's draft Food Security and Agriculture System Development Action Plan 2027–2030 before its submission to the Ministry. The Action Plan will help guide the country's food security and agricultural development priorities over the coming years.
💬 Arman Khojoyan, Deputy Minister of Economy, shared the Government's vision: "Over the next five years, we envision an agricultural sector that is smarter, greener, more resilient to climate change, more integrated into international markets, and more attractive to young entrepreneurs and private investors. Achieving this vision requires coordinated action and continued partnership."
💬 Khaled Eltaweel, Senior Programme Officer at the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub, reflected on the progress since the Convergence Initiative: "The priorities identified during the workshop are now helping to shape the country's agriculture and food systems agenda. The Hub, together with the UN Country Team, remains committed to supporting Armenia on this journey."

A milestone for youth engagement in Zambia's agrifood systems.
Young people are already driving innovation, building agribusinesses, influencing policy, & advancing climate-smart solutions.
🌍 During Nigeria's National Convergence Workshop in Abuja, participants agreed on a shared vision for the country's food systems by 2040 and identified the priorities that will shape a new Convergence Action Blueprint, aligning food systems transformation with climate action.
🌱 The Blueprint will focus on strengthening governance, mobilizing sustainable financing, scaling climate-smart agriculture, building resilient food value chains, and expanding opportunities for women and youth.
