Representative for 56th District which includes Woodford, and parts of Fayette and Franklin Counties. (and yes, that tiny McDonald's sign on 64 used to be mine)
@RepJosieRaymond Thanks Josie--another way the republican super majority tries to limit, stifle and cut out public access, input and involvement in our government. These long lines are inexcusable and a deterrent to partaking in the government process. Just what the repub super majority wants!
@nema The Rs will talk big in private, hallways and phones about how she's a nutjob and hurts them, and how they think their gerrymandering will get rid of her in the next cycle, but God forbid they do ANYTHING publicly to denounce her for fear of the base hurting them!
Back-to-school news: I'm introducing the Student Loan Borrowers Bill of Rights!
Students and their families are getting ripped off by predatory lenders & crushing loan debt. We can't afford to wait.
Over a dozen other states have protected student borrowers. KY should be next.
@lbblackford How much of "growing up versus out" was considered as well? Higher floor allowances for example could impact need? Some of the state's, country's and especially the world's best areas are dense. The per foot income for these areas exceeds sprawl. Service costs are less too.
The five counties that have the greatest % of their adult population vaccinated with the Covid vaccine according to Herald Leader:
1. Woodford 55%
2. Franklin. 53%
3. Fayette. 50%
4. Lyon. 45%
5. Hancock. 43%
The Senate passed a modified HB 178, but the House adjourned without considering the conference report. We're confident they will do so upon their return in eleven days and will #SaveOurSeats
Just another way various leading republicans can cut money from essential people (teachers for example) and things (roads and bridges for example) that KY needs, so the agenda of smaller government and government spending can happen without much effort or accountability on them.
In addition to taking money needed for our budget, these tax breaks would force Kentucky to pay back an equivalent amount out of the $2.4 billion in aid we are set to receive from the #AmericanRescuePlan: https://t.co/cjbMez4wzQ
Wilson must clearly go home at night and have nightmares about Kentucky's teachers because his rationale here is that "the student could be utilized and influenced by teachers who want a certain thing."
(📣Student voice is not a conspiracy, sir.)
Not all of the Kentucky Press is neutral on HB 312, a bill aimed at undermining key provisions of the Open Records Law. The Lexington Herald-Leader weighs in: https://t.co/mZ4Wz8Cs7c
@Senate7Ky @MarcusGreenWDRB She says she didn't consult our phenomenal health departments in the 7th district before filing this bill. I never filed a bill without talking to stakeholders and I especially wanted to hear from opposing stakeholders. What she's done is legislative malpractice.

CC: @DanFister56th
You don't have to take it from me, the Chief Justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court said HB 3 is an effort to eliminate the Franklin Circuit Court...
And the newly elected State Rep for part of Franklin County voted for it.
Wow. @DanFister56th voted FOR the attack on Franklin County's judges to remove state cases from the seat of government. The Capital County voted for him yet he voted against them in his first votes. Purely partisan and unconstitutional. Disrespectful to Franklin County. #HB3
@Senate7Ky@DanFister56th still supporting Trump, still going to rallies with confederate flags and AR 15s and staying there, still supporting racist actions, still using violence enabling rhetoric?? It's disingenuous to say something now after the fact.
