They're British and posh/posh-adjacent so I do believe they can read.
Also, this is so bitter and jealous I can almost believe they're actual cousins, lol.
That "kismet" story of how dua lipa and callum turner met on a train and had turned to each other to see they were reading the same book is so funny because of course you guys were reading the same book, you're represented by the same book stylists #wokeupmad
I agree with this-
He and Milly have an age/class/life experience gap and his character absolutely tracks for the 24yr old kid of one of the world's biggest rock stars, why is everyone acting surprised? 😭
Idk she’s 22 he’s 24, they both should be at the club, living life, forgetting things on vacation, not raising a baby they weren’t even forced into having
So what if Garrett hadn't had problems at home?
Would it still be okay for Logan to resent him because he's wealthy?? Then why remain close friends with him?
Logan is toxic and jealous and a saboteur, period.
i have a question. in the off campus books is there a big friendship breakup arc between logan and garrett? bc watching it, i was shocked and alarmed at how much resentment and dislike logan harbours towards garrett and nobody is talks about it like... is that normal?? its n-
It gets harder as you get older but 300 books a year is pretty doable when you're in high school/uni.
It depends on reading speed though.
If you're 800-1200wpm you can do it, easy.
A funny story about how I accidentally ended my wife’s interest in BookTube.
There was this girl she was watching that claimed to read 200-300 books a year. One of the books that came up in her list, somehow, was G.K. Chesterton. In her review, this girl said “It was good, I think, but I just couldn’t understand it.”
I told my wife two things:
(1) There is not one human that actually reads 300 books a year; and,
(2) If anyone could read that much, they’d have no problem understanding Chesterton.
I told her I bet that she just constantly had an audiobook on literally all the time playing at 2x speed like background noise.
Within a week, my wife showed me a new video of this girl admitting that my prediction was dead accurate.
How did this become "women can't be rapists"?
The way even women participate in bad faith interpretations of whatever other women say demonstrates how deeply embedded misogyny is in our culture.
the best advice i can give to young feminists and girls in general is to stop trying to appease leftists because nothing you do or say for them will ever be enough . if you consider misogyny a real issue, you're already on their bad side . embrace the terf accusations and move on
A prominent feminist tiktoker has posted a TikTok in tears after being bullied and criticized for not focusing enough on trans issues. She was bashed and called a TERF because her content is “not inclusive enough” and she’s now issued a tearful apology. The left eat their own every time.
i don’t think she doesn’t understand intersectionality i think she’s lowkey right in questioning why race solidarity is the expectation but gender solidarity is treated as an abomination
Pope Leo XIV: “It is, therefore, not enough to state simply that men and women have equal dignity and rights; it is necessary that this be reflected in concrete decisions, such as in laws, access to employment, education, social and political responsibilities, and the way society listens to and values women’s contributions. As long as this gap persists, we cannot say that society truly and fully recognizes that women have the same dignity as men.”
As technological development rapidly transforms languages, relationships, institutions and forms of power, we believers must and can choose which projects to work on and in what manner, so as to safeguard and value the grandeur of humanity that has been given to us as a gift.
Humanity, created by God in all its grandeur, is today facing a pivotal choice: either to construct a new Tower of Babel or to build the city in which God and humanity dwell together. In Jesus Christ, this humanity in its grandeur becomes the Way, the Truth and the Life, opening the path for each of us to grow toward fullness. #MagnificaHumanitas

Helen of Troy is a fictional role that has traditionally been used to portray society's idea of what the most beautiful woman would look like.
In this day and age, that woman has been Lupita, and it's a gift that she's not only stunning but incredibly talented.
Lupita Nyong'o wants to play Helen of Troy. A greek woman. Its like if Johnny Depp was asked to play Dedan Kimathi.
I am afraid the whities are right on this.
In 1998, I was fired from my corporate job while 9 months pregnant because and I quote, “my priorities would be elsewhere after the baby is born.”
The lawyer I hired told me I didn’t have a case because discrimination like “that” was almost impossible to prove.
So I got pissed.
Took the LSAT. Went to law school. Passed the bar. Had 3 more kids.
Twelve years later, another woman from that same company was fired for the same reason. She sued them for a million dollars, and won, partly because I had kept every piece of evidence from what happened to me years prior demonstrating a systemic pattern of discrimination against women.
That company no longer exists. My law practice is thriving. And that baby they said would derail my priorities? She’s a brilliant attorney now working at my firm.
Turns out my priorities were indeed, elsewhere.
Jessie T. Usher reveals he initially did not want to do an audition for his role in #TheBoys because of his project at the time 'Shaft'. So Eric Kripke himself called the producer to make sure he did an audition tape.
"Eric Kirpke somehow gets in contact with John Davis, who is the producer of Shaft... he calls him up playfully, says, "Why you not giving your actors enough time to to prepare anything else for a tape?" John comes to me at lunch. "Hey, my my good friend My good friend Eric called me. He said he's got a project or something and and he's he wants to get a tape from you on it, but he gave me sh*t because I didn't give you enough time ""
