I think one way to speed up Mail-in vote tabulation would be to cut the paper to fit the envelope, so the “flattening of folded paper” process can be skipped.
The downside is that my 8 page ballot would be 24 sheets front and back. So a larger envelope too.
@DOGEQEEN@Capitalist_Rick 👎 There’s no theft.
The voters don’t all want him, and were less loudmouthed online about that. Pratt’s support came from outside the City limits.
@Phineas7890@TacoforFive1 It’s not impossible or improbable.
The voters in the City limits voting for Pratt didn’t do mail-in or drop-off in the last days. They raced to the polls. You saw them brag online.
Go observe if you’re worried.
@LVpolitic It is. Pratt voters overlap with big election fraud guys and were motivated. That means his voters voted early or in-person, which got counted earliest.
The mail in and drop off folks are not his voters. They’re Bass and Raman voters who held their ballots strategically.
@search9286@dpmom3@WhalenMona@Notwokenow Downtown is my neighborhood precinct.
When you get in the line, you don’t know how long it will be. It’s not Disneyland with a wait time displayed.
I also didn’t know in 2016 that I could go anywhere. It was the poll worker at the table that election who told me.
@search9286@dpmom3@WhalenMona@Notwokenow The costs would be astronomical and raise taxes. There’s not always libraries, churches, or places to host at low cost. One time I voted in a hotel ballroom in Little Tokyo. Also rampant with elderly poll workers who couldn’t troubleshoot, so 5 machines were just abandoned.
@search9286@dpmom3@WhalenMona@Notwokenow Yes. They grind hard.
The average rent is $2525.
Uber drivers make $15-20 an hour before taxes and expenses like gas. They’re taking home about $10 an hour. 260 hours to make rent. That’s 65 hours a week. Divide by 7– 9.29 hours a day.
And in this scenario they’re not eating.
@search9286@dpmom3@WhalenMona@Notwokenow Your worldview is narrow. It doesn’t apply to dense LA neighborhoods with skyscrapers of people. Some precincts with single family homes service a couple of hundred adults. Smaller ones on the map with City blocks would service 10-20k.
Hence CA has innovations to help.
@search9286@dpmom3@WhalenMona@Notwokenow Wow or use the mail-in ballot, and take your time researching the candidates, the initiatives, and the judges and fill it out at home. Then drop it off.
BTW, not everyone works for someone. Gig workers just lose a whole day of income.
