My aunt has been married for 53 years to a man who has never eaten a salad, no vegetables except beans and corn, no seafood, no “ethnic” food, no onions or garlic, no condiments. Going out to eat with the family has always required negotiations about cuisine. No surprise, he’s had blood pressure issues for decades now and other problems related to his poor diet. And yet, she still loves him and would consider her marriage a happy one.
