Grinding to do in 1 year what took others 6.
@dammiedammie35 This is really a bad reputation to Nigerian youths, especially those into Tech. This are the reasons why it's difficult to secure remote jobs from International organisations or companies
It's bad seriously
Not a premium user, so this is gonna be short.
My name is Yakub, I'm a 16 yr old secondary school graduate living in Nigeria. I realized that despite being a broke fellow I'm still a resourceful citizen, so I'm trying to test myself by making $1000 from $0 in the next 90 days.
In trading,
Patience is power.
A patient trader:
Waits.
Waits more.
Then executes with precision.
No rush.
No FOMO.
No revenge trading.
Just discipline.
In 2015, one CEO did something that shocked almost everyone.
He called his employees together and announced that the minimum salary in his company would now be $70,000 per year.
Not for managers.
Not for only the best-performing employees.
Everybody.
His name is Dan Price, the founder of Gravity Payments.
But the part that shocked people the most was what he did to his own salary.
He was earning about $1.1 million a year.
He cut it down to $70,000 so he could increase the salaries of all his employees.
People immediately started attacking him.
Some so-called experts called him a socialist and said he was destroying capitalism. Others predicted that his company would soon go bankrupt.
But then something unexpected happened.
The company grew.
Its workforce doubled.
Sales tripled.
And for the first time, many of his employees could afford things they had only dreamed about before.
Some bought homes.
Some started families.
They were no longer constantly struggling to survive while working full-time.
Then COVID happened.
Business slowed down, and the company was in trouble.
This time, something unexpected happened from the employees.
They voluntarily agreed to take a 60% pay cut from their salary to help the company survive.
They didn't have to be forced.
They did it because they remembered what their CEO had done for them when things were going well.
When business eventually recovered, Dan paid back every cent of the salary they had sacrificed.
And to show him how much they appreciated him, his employees came together and bought him a brand-new Tesla.
The man gave up millions to give his employees for a better life.
And when he needed help, those same employees stood by him.
Now tell me how these his employees will betray him after everything he has done for them even if they're offered millions of dollars to betray him .
If you like don't invest in the life of the people working for you .
I saw a TikTok trader lose 5 trades in a row.
His account was down 90%.
Out of frustration, he entered another trade just to blow it completely.
Don’t be that guy.
That last 10% can still bring you back to 30%.
And that small recovery can rebuild your confidence.
If you’re going to lose an account,
let it be from following your rules, not emotions.
That’s how you grow. That’s how you become better.
“Do not allow any police officer to search your phone simply because they suspect you are involved in internet fra¥d (Yahoo Yahoo)” — FCT Commissioner of Police tells youths
Nigerian billionaires are funny sha. 😂
You bought a piece of land worth maybe ₦50 million.
Spent another ₦200 million building a mansion.
Parked cars worth over ₦500 million inside the compound.
Then you hired a gateman to protect properties worth well over ₦1 billion... and you're paying him ₦70k a month.
The same chef that cooks every meal you eat and literally controls what enters your body and determines the next minute you will stay on this earth is earning ₦100k monthly.
Sometimes I just sit down and wonder.
You trust these people with your life and your entire wealth, yet you pay them salaries that can barely take care of them.
Anyways... pray your enemies never come in contact with them sha 😊.
