More Mustang history... This memo is from Lee Iacocca after meeting with Carroll Shelby where all agreed the @FordMustang would be a flagship for @Ford on and off the race track. This was just a couple months before we won Le Mans the second time. The rest is history!
Thanks to Ford archivist @TedRyan64 for finding this! #Mustang60
This is Dolly. She was born with a mustache. Her full name is Salvador Dolly, due to her uncanny resemblance to legendary Spanish Surrealist painter Salvador Dalí.
She was rescued in Dallas in 2019, but after receiving medical care, she was transported to @hbrdogs in New York City, where photos of Dolly inevitably went viral. The rescue received adoption applications from all over the U.S., and there was even international interest.
Ultimately Dolly was adopted by a couple in Provincetown, but her virality continued, and her mustache mark stayed prominent as she grew. She was even featured on “Good Morning America” and “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.” In 2020, she was chosen from a national pool to play in Puppy Bowl 16. She was in the starting line up of Team Fluff. A perk of being in the Puppy Bowl is that each dog gets their DNA tested. Dolly was born to a brown shepherd mom and an unknown dad, and her DNA results revealed that she is 50% Staffordshire terrier, 12.5% German shepherd, 12.5% Siberian husky, 12.5% Labrador retriever, and a 12.5% mix of other breeds. When asked in a phone interview with Cape Cod Times how Dolly performed on the football field, her human joked, “She’s an artist, not an athlete. She just had a great time.”
The latest is that she has a canine brother named Perry and a bowtie with lobsters on it. 14/10
Ford is the top-selling truck manufacturer globally and in the U.S a @Ford truck is produced every 33 seconds. These are some of the amazing people behind this achievement! Here in North America, our teams at Dearborn Truck Plant, Michigan Assembly Plant and Kansas City Assembly Plant assemble America’s best-selling trucks for our customers, like the new F-150s and Rangers we're shipping to customers right now. I've witnessed their passion, dedication & teamwork firsthand. Today and everyday we celebrate their hard work. With 47 years of truck leadership, we are #BuiltFordTough because of them.
So fun taking people around @CLTMotorSpdwy in the awesome Supervan 4.0. This thing gets 2000hp and is all-electric! #FPSeasonLaunch24 @FordPerformance @ford
This is Napoleon. He was the runt of his litter, so he never got a fair share of the toys. Now that he has a stuffed friend of his own, he is determined to never let them go. 12/10
Love meeting @Ford customers around the world. This is Tony Hill in Queenstown, NZ. He showed me his 1967 F-250 Camper Special built in San Jose, California in Sept 1966. He was lovely and his son owns a F-150 Lightning in Walnut Creek, CA. Just miles away from where his dad’s pickup truck was built!
Great to see @Vestas electrifying their service fleet with #F150Lightning trucks. I checked in w/ their team to see how they’re using the trucks & @FordPro software. One-pedal driving, frunk storage & Pro Power Onboard were some of the favorite features making their job easier. Had to call up @TedCannis, CEO of Ford Pro to share the helpful feedback!
