Just returned to the US for a brief visit after a long stretch in the Donbas.

On my flight out of Warsaw, as fate would have it … the older woman across the aisle from me was struggling to communicate with the English-speaking stewardess, and when I realized she was speaking Ukrainian I began to translate for them.

Led to a conversation about where she’s from (a place I’ve spent a great deal of time) and she broke down in tears, explaining that she just couldn’t take the missiles anymore but is scared to be leaving home.

A very sweet soul and our chance connection was very cathartic for both of us.

I’ll be back in 2 weeks and make no mistake … righteousness WILL prevail, homes will be restored and the terrorism will be brought to an end.

I miss you already Ukraine 🤘🏼
