@number1dumb1ss My post is just acknowledging how smash usually focuses more on being iconic, not necessarily the most modern for character representation. Especially for 3rd parties

@number1dumb1ss Your image mentioned how other characters use their modern incarnations, which isn’t always the case, characters like pac man, mega man and belmont use more retro interpretations as their most iconic looks. He’s still a very faithful mega man take

@VCreateArt I can excuse venusaur since the pointed ears are consistent through its line but blastoise gets rid of wartortle’s head wings to replace them with cat ears, they already had a head ornament to build on but didn’t for some reason

Okay, the whole Mario vs Sonic debate is happening again, so let’s see if I can try to determine who would win in a fight at their absolute peaks. I’m no expert, so keep in mind this isn’t definitive 🧵

@SJG1202021 @OmniVERSUS39 Pretty sure it means trained combat experience, Sonic has fought a lot of things but hasn’t ever gotten proper combat training. Mario has trained with multiple martial arts masters, he has the title of sensei and even developed his own “Mario Style” martial arts technique

Mario (at the very least) ties with physical stats and endurance (leaning more Mario) and handily takes power ups and versatility. You can make an argument for Sonic winning, but with these categories Mario definitely wins
