Thank 🙏 u all for your support and kind words.
Here’s a short clip of my song ‘ghost of the mountains’ that was composed during (& is about) our 2017 expedition when we collared a #snowleopard in Kangchenjunga, #Nepal.
Hats off @MahaForest@jituramgaokar and #SGNP team fr d quick decision 2 release #leopard tht lost its way nd entered bldg in #Marol on April 1...back in the wild. Its a great lesson that successful rescue completes with the animal back in its habitat #wildlife
Yes , I completely agree with you @nikit_surve . An example for other cities to learn about how proper coordination between multiple agencies including police/fire briagade /fores department helps in a successful rescue @MSgnp@vids_@vidyathreya@jituramgaokar
For the 1st time in my living memory the water source to my house has dried up.Whn we wr young the force of the water ws so strong tht if we shut the tap the pipeline usd to burst https://t.co/jQ4HRAW5cM present we need to buy water frm another source the whole yr at Rs.500/month
@Foresthani Quite likely to be a common leopard as per the firsthand reports and location of the unfortunate incident, which is far from snow leopard habitat and adjacent to leopard habitat. Sadly that still does not reduce the trauma to the family of the child
“..in a country like Nepal, big infrastructure projects receive green signal for political reasons. Whether these projects are commercially viable … these aspects are rarely taken into account..”
The messy geopolitics of China's #OneBeltOneRoad initiative,, from the perspective of its tiny neighbor #Nepal -- from my friend @DeepakAdk https://t.co/JOy2AYZ4eZ
Had wondered about instances of #snowleopards causing death of humans in #conflict, on record. Hadn’t found any, until now - https://t.co/w31cU0GGif..
But this looks more like case of misidentification ...
@koustubh_sharma ..might this be a common #leopard instead?
We don’t need world’s fourth largest airport to mismanage. We’re already doing so with the Kathmandu one. A better bet would be to focus on managing our ~45% #forest cover, which will remain (if it remains) a major reason for outsiders to use these airports & visit #Nepal.
Views of Thulo Syafru village and Ganesh Himal from the #redpanda#tourism zone in Langtang #NationalPark in #Nepal. Also throwing in some evidence of the species..guess why it’s so green?
I was fortunate to witness the formation of a stream from ice melt, high in the #Himalayas. #LifeUnderWater begins here.
Sharing a short clip from Shey Phoksundo National Park, #Nepal.

#forest dwellers r the most powerful allies to help save natural spaces.
Conservationists need to introspect. Will us few (already pliable & divided) be able to save forests without them?
Keywords: divide, rule, corporate, development, survival, tradition.
Madhu Ramnath absolutely nails it. Must read.
Conservation groups should be helping Adivasis save forests. Instead, they are working to evict them. #forestrightsact

#Delhi would have been a desert if not for the #Aravallis..
..but the Aravallis r also now prime property in an expanding NCR.
Will the governments favor the present of builders or future of the masses?
This was needed. #Aravallis are critical water sources and wind barriers. #SC action was much needed. The outrage and anger of the hon'ble judge #ArunMishra in court is important to remember
As a #wildlife conservationist or #welfare activist, u sometimes face a dilemma whether or not to support eradication (positive word 4 manmade #extinction) of #life forms that r harmful to humans.
An interesting analysis @RichardConniff ..

Excited to be performing 🎸 🎶 tomorrow for my true love: #nature.
Songs inspired by #conservation work & people of @WWFNepal, @action4ifaw@wti_org_india@WCSIndia who have given me so many experiences & learning, for which I will be forever grateful.
