@insertname_12 @konekoji @misterables_ @Mr_american19 @esrohthewest Horses deserve a fulfilling life and it's simply not possible with an amputation/prosthetic. It does and will cause long-term harm and the poor innocent horse doesn't deserve to live in constant pain and confusion like that.

@BrutusVengador @Naomi_D_Harvey @Lud0gami_ @luckkems In not so harsh words, yeah. Putting a horse down is the kindest thing you can do if its choosing between that and amputation. They can't live a fulfilling life with a prosthetic, they'll just be in constant pain and confusion.

@LesaqueJennifer @luckkems Unfortunately he won't. He'll just live in constant pain and confusion bcs horses need all four legs to stand right or their back and joints will be screwed. So not only does the amputation site probably hurt but so will the rest of their body eventually

Ppl in chronic pain don't like it, so why subject an innocent horse to that?

It's inhumane, cruel, and selfish to keep them alive. They'd be living in constant pain, confusion, and confinement. Put yourself in those shoes.

Now imagine a horse, who can't talk, doesn't understand why it's hurting, and will never be comfortable again. It's selfish to keep them alive in that kind of state; just miserable and in pain.
