I really don't think it would've hurt to have kept the respective systems. 02 just feels so empty compared to the options you have in 01, and gets heavily carried by its meter, which was done better in 2000 because you had an option of damage or protection

Why is it that Kof 2002 and 12 are so lame.
Like the respective sagas built up a particular gimmick and instead of the dream matches being a celebration of that it just does 98. 12, I kinda get, but they could've just reused sprites for 02

Like rugal being the boss for 98 over orochi is one thing, but there's no reason he should be the 02 boss as well. And on top of that the other boss characters aren't playable at all. And I know snk was capable of adding them because that's the entire point of FF special
