🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting in Jacksonville FL after a 77-YEAR-OLD man with a BROKEN ANKLE, walking with a CANE, was put in HANDCUFFS at his own warehouse...

...for leaving cat food out for 7 stray cats he's cared for for 16 YEARS since his ONLY SON passed away!!!

The charge? "Feeding raccoons."

Florida put a grieving 77-year-old father in HANDCUFFS over a bowl of cat food.

His name is Louis Abbruzze.

In 2010, Louis and his wife lost their only son, and not long after, a few stray cats started showing up around their warehouse.

They did everything right.
Trapped them.
Got them vaccinated.
Got them fixed.

Found homes for as many as they could.

But even with all of that work, seven cats stayed.

Every night for 16 YEARS, Louis has cracked the warehouse door so those cats can come in out of the weather, eat, and sleep.

"These cats are not just cats," Louis said. "They're my children."

"That's what kept my wife and I going. We found something that made us human again."

Then, about a year and a half ago, the property's HOA hired new management.

Suddenly the door had to stay shut.

Then, somebody called Florida Fish and Wildlife and said a tenant was feeding raccoons.

FWC officers came out and warned him and he was cited.

Louis says he did exactly what they told him: feed the cats, and pull the food if a raccoon shows up.

"I started doing exactly what the FWC said," he said.

AND IT GETS WORSE.

On September 15th, the officers came back.

Not with another citation. With HANDCUFFS.

"He says, 'Now turn around and put out your hands,'" Louis said.

"Cuffed me. Put my cuffs on right there. I can't walk. I've got a broken ankle. I'm walking with a cane."

They put a 77-year-old man with a cane in a car an hauled him off from his own property on a MISDEMEANOR.

He says he was treated "as a common criminal."

Meanwhile, in the same state, violent offenders walk out on no bond every single day.

But the old man with the cats? Cuffs.

Cumulative inflation 2019-2025 was only 26%

Mayor Jane Castor literally increased Tampa’s spending at Three Times the rate of inflation! Nearly $600 million more in one year than was needed to provide 2019 levels of public services, adjusted for inflation.

Maybe @WFLA would better serve the community by asking Mayor Castor what she spent that $600 million on and why it shouldn’t be the first thing cut instead of just being her mouthpiece?

I used to have hopes for him.

The establishment would be absolutely satisfied if we accepted this incremental step toward wiping away our Fourth Amendment right.

No matter what, if the cameras are up, we know the government will find a way to review all the footage (and other data it collects), and right now they can easily access it in the cloud.

We already know the government will spy on us in secret, as Edward Snowden blew the whistle on the NSA doing just that.

All of the cameras must come down.

We are still making progress, and cameras are being canceled or taken down every day.

No, Holly has it wrong. Local governments are not our communities, WE are. Amendment 3 will not “evaporate $46 billion over 5 years from local communities”. That $46 billion will still be in the communities, it will just be in our pockets instead of being taken by the tax man to spread around to appease special interests.

Counties and cities will not be forced to beg Tallahassee for anything. They will still be collecting property taxes on commercial and retail and property. They will still be collecting property tax on amusement and tourist attraction properties. They will still be collecting property tax on hotels and motels and apartment complexes. They will still be collecting property tax on Airbnbs, bed-n-breakfasts, “winter-homes” owned by Snowbirds and investor-owned rental housing. This is more than enough revenue to pay for fire and police and even libraries.

🚨WOW!!!!

A Tesla owner and dad was arrested at GUNPOINT in his own driveway and charged with a FELONY for "fleeing" a police officer he never saw.

2 years later, he just BEAT THE WHOLE THING...

...because his Tesla was recording the entire drive. ❤️

His name is Kevin Finley, in Winter Springs, Florida.

He'd just dropped his kids off at school and was driving home when he passed a car sitting in a median and figured it was broken down or about to make a U-turn.

It was an unmarked police car.

An officer went after him. Finley says he never saw a single light and never heard a siren.

The Tesla footage showed the patrol car's emergency lights were visible for only a BRIEF moment... before curves in the road and buildings blocked that unmarked car from view entirely.

So Finley drove home!

He pulled into his garage and then he heard sirens outside. So he did what an innocent man does. He OPENED his garage door to see what was going on.

...and found guns pointed at his face.

His words: "This is, argumentatively, a simple traffic violation. And now I have a gun in my face and I'm arrested in my driveway and my neighbors are watching."

He told them over and over that he never saw them, that he wasn't running from anybody.

The officer can be heard saying:

"I dunno if I'm gonna hit him with the felony side of flee and elude, or I'm going to hit him with all the traffic infractions."

They went with the felony.

Felony fleeing and eluding + criminal reckless driving. In

Finley's words: "These are all very serious charges. Fleeing the police is a felony."

And then this father spent NEARLY TWO YEARS with that hanging over his head. Two years of lawyers. Two years of a felony charge on his record for anyone to see. Two years of wondering if he was going to prison over a traffic stop he never knew was happening.

Then he finally got to play the video.

The judge didn't even send it to a jury.

He acquitted him on the spot.

🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting after a 22-year-old who runs into BURNING BUILDINGS as a volunteer firefighter was told he isn't qualified to be a paid firefighter...

...because he was HOMESCHOOLED.

Then the city changed the job posting to cover it up.

His name is Andrew Coates. He's 22 years old, in Nebraska.

Right now, today, he runs into burning buildings as a volunteer firefighter for Cedar Bluffs Fire. He is a state-licensed EMT.

He is doing the job. For free.

All he wanted was to get PAID to do it. In his words: "Make a career out of it would be the goal. To get paid to do what you love."

So he applied to the Fremont Fire Department.

And in April, the city rejected him. Why?

Because his high school diploma says he was homeschooled.

That's it. That's the whole disqualification.

Not his EMT license.
Not his fitness.
Not his record.
Not his experience pulling people out of fires ALREADY!!

...how he was educated.

The job posting he applied to said "graduation from high school."

That's all it said.
He graduated high school.
He has a diploma.

And AFTER they rejected him, the city went back and added the word "accredited" to the job description.

His own fire chief, the man who has watched Andrew work, showed up to defend him:

"I feel the city of Fremont is really missing out here, and in my mind, because of his homeschooling, you guys are discriminating against him."

Over THIRTY homeschool families showed up to stand behind this kid.

And the Civil Service Commission? They said it isn't their job to touch city policy.

Homeschoolers are literally a generation of kids who read ABOVE grade level, who work with their HANDS, who volunteer in their communities, who show up for their neighbors.

And this young man is the proof.

At 22, he's a certified EMT and a volunteer firefighter, while plenty of his peers are on a couch.

When your house is on fire at 3 a.m., I promise you will not ask the man dragging your children out where he went to high school.

You will not ask if his diploma was accredited.

You will thank GOD he came.

Andrew isn't even fighting for himself anymore. His words:

"I think now it's turned into we want to make sure that every homeschooler has an equal opportunity."

That's a better man than the policy that rejected him.

Fremont, you have a licensed EMT and an active firefighter begging to serve your city. And you turned him down over paperwork, then rewrote the paperwork to cover it.

Fix this.

Hire him!!!!!!!
