Super slow motion ๐ค Fuse Blast. We filmed the Fuse Blast at 1000 FPS with @freeflysystems' Ember. What you're seeing is blast media remove excess Nylon 12 powder from a part printed on Formlabs Fuse 1 SLS 3D printer. Click here to see more https://t.co/W3RSnWfoEG
@PLT_cheater You are most likely correct with your guess - 18-22 gauge steel is the material we recommend in our white paper on sheet metal forming. Check out the detailed report here: https://t.co/4naTzOawOu
. @freeflysystems builds the world's toughest industrial drones for the harshest conditions. Behind their innovation is Formlabs SLS 3D printing on the Fuse Ecosystem, turning CAD designs into test flights in less than a day. Check out the full story here https://t.co/W3RSnWfoEG
@PLT_cheater The mold was printed in Formlabs Rigid 10K Resin! We don't know the exact thickness unfortunately - it's a project by Karl Eriksson at Addinor.
Soft robotics was out of the question until โจYouTuber It's On My Mind started using Form 4 and Silicone 40A resin. FDM filaments can flex, but can't pressure-seal making pneumatically actuated soft robotic parts impossible. His next step is to integrate the tentacle and the gripper together into one soft robot.
80+ Formlabs 3D printers. One aerospace facility. One mission: build the future of drone manufacturing in India. @Raphe_mPhibr is redefining what industrial additive manufacturing looks like at scale โ from rapid prototyping to end-use parts, entirely in-house.

From prototyping to end-use parts. All on the same machine. SLS printing combines industrial-grade materials with the design freedom engineers need to create complex products with fewer manufacturing limitations.
The team at Palladion Systems developed a print-in-place counter-UAV system manufactured as a single build with deployable arms integrated directly into the design.
Manufactured on the Formlabs Fuse Series, this approach reduces assembly, speeds up iteration, and enables scalable production.

If you haven't heard, Valve released the Steam Controller CAD so that people can design their own mods and accessories for it. And if you don't have a 3D printer yourself, or want to try some more industrial-quality materials, you can get them printed through a service like Form Now.
I designed this hand stand to hold the controller and in 2 days, had it printed and delivered with Form Now. Here's the model if you'd like to get one for yourself: https://t.co/SciQOZP2n4
Accelerate product development, reduce costs and lead times, and bring better products to market by incorporating 3D printing and short-run injection molding into your development process.

What 3D printed material is the strongest? We put Formlabs 3D printed brackets head to head to see how they would withstand increasingly heavy weights. In this test we used Grey, Clear, Biomed Durable, Rigid 10k, Rigid 4k, and our new family of Tough Resins [Tough 1000, Tough 1500, Tough 2000].
What test should we run next?

Happy May the 4th! โ๏ธโจ Actually, I forgot until a few days ago, so I ordered this 3D printed lightsaber in Nylon 12 SLS powder from Form Now, and it showed up at my door in 2 days, right on time for Star Wars Day.
That's the magic of Form Now. You upload your file, pick from 28+ industrial-grade materials, and we print, post-process, and ship it out in as little as 2 days from our print farm in Massachusetts. Because we operate in the US and use our Formlabs SLA & SLS ecosystems, anyone can now order a single custom 3D printed part (or thousands!) as easy as buying something online, both in price and speed.
May the 4th be with you. ๐
