Once a quarter reminder that @drip was built on the back of @solanapoet
DP says yes - DRiP has permission to break the traditional NFT model
DP says no - we fade away into irrelevance
When people and peers hated early on, DP kept dropping. He didn’t care that there was no money to be made for many months
Just one genius who thought different about what the future could be and shared a passion for Solana with me
It is part of my life’s mission now to ensure his legacy and story is preserved and told
That people appreciate and value his art for generations
He laid the first bricks on a path for millions of creators to change their lives on this new internet
The 4 barrels
🛢️Unleashing DRiP Studio
🛢️Breaking out of the dApp browser with the DRiP app
🛢️Removing invite codes and signup restrictions
🛢️Partnering with crypto’s largest entities like @phantom, @worldnetwork, @Bybit_Official for distribution
Yeah we’re going to explode

You are seeing the outcome of an internet missing a financial protocol that can receive and transfer payments at even the tiniest levels. The internet's UX is broken as we know it.
Marc Andreessen called the missing financial rails "the original sin of the internet." (h/t @SerjKorj).
I return to this idea often because it's the challenge that keeps me focused and motivated in the midst of fast-changing markets and naysaying attention seekers.
Almost exactly 6 years ago I started the process to raise for what eventually became @solana. I talked to every connection I had, went to every startup and crypto meetup and tried to get in front of everyone that I possibly could.
Even if they didn’t want to lead I would ask for a conditional angel check in case we got a lead. It took me over two months and hundreds of pitches to get to $500k worth of handshake angel checks. Most VCs thought that the alt L1 thesis was already played out.
