What I don't understand about people like you is why you do this.
Yes, the United States has student loans. But it also has all manner of scholarships for students who are academically gifted or exceptionally talented in sports.
Why do you only compare Nigeria to the United States when it is convenient for you to defend the government?
How many university (college) graduates in the US are unemployed compared to Nigeria?
Why aren't you comparing the minimum wage in the US to that of Nigeria?
What about the other things that make a country liveable, such as security, quality education, healthcare, social welfare, electricity, and a functional transportation system?
Do you understand how inhumane it is to increase university tuition fees by over 300% in some cases, only to introduce student loans as though they somehow compensate for the financial burden you've placed on students and their families?
Since these outrageous fee increases, what meaningful improvements have been made to Nigerian universities? Has the quality of education improved? Have the facilities been upgraded? Are students getting better value for the additional money they're being forced to pay?
You cannot selectively compare Nigeria to developed countries only when it helps you justify government policies, while conveniently ignoring everything those countries provide for their citizens.
And I have one final question for people like you:
If Nigeria actually becomes a better country, would it affect you negatively?
😂😂😂😂😂😂
So what exactly do we get as citizens ??
No subsidized housing
No light
No subsidized fuel
No subsidized education
But yeah there is money for prado 🫠🫠
Man, I need to study more!
You hear some people speak, and just shiver from the sheer quality of knowledge they harbor in their minds.
All from studying texts!
"LOL 😂 Many of you think Nigeria is rich or that corruption or mismanagement is Nigeria's problem, but let me tell you, corruption is not even in the top 10 of Nigerian problems"
—A neutral apolitical Nigerian analysing Nigeria's problems.
I am deeply in love with my wonderful boyfriend. I can still get pregnant with IVF. I have a deeply fulfilling career in massage, and through everything I even still have my childhood cat Luna. My future - and my present - is so, so bright. I never thought I could have this.
Reforms didn’t stop him from purchasing another private jet.
Reforms didn’t stop him from buying bulletproof cars.
Reforms didn’t stop him from enriching already wealthy politicians and elites.
Reforms didn’t stop him from spending billions on solar panels at Aso Rock after failing to fulfil his empty promises of providing electricity.
Reforms didn’t stop him from spending billions on propaganda and influencers.
Reforms didn’t stop him from appointing and funding people like Reno Omokri and Showunmi, one of whom has publicly insulted and degraded him in the past for the whole world to see.
But of course, we are the ones who must suffer the consequences of these stinking, worthless, headless camouflage reforms.

If you check well, she’s a civil servant. She’s salty because they can no longer skip work or show up anytime they like, they can no longer steal money like they used to.
I hope more women stop waiting to be chosen or funded. The version of your life where you simply decide and then work until it's real is available. It's slower. It's harder. And it's so much more
yours.
This is ridiculous. Shout whatever macro-economic metric you want to shout for all we care, the simple and most important metric is that our lives were better (as bad as it was) 4 years ago than it is now.
People could eat better. It’s as simple as that.
Tbvh the whole thing with startup funding and co that you mentioned as a “little win” means little to me when food prices are high, cost of doing business is high, and keeping a decent standard of living for most of us is more and more difficult everyday. Thats not how I evaluate natl leadership. You get no brownie points for making the rich richer.
