It is insanity to support Heathrow expansion, and demonstrates how deeply unserious the Labour Party has become as a political party. The economic impact of the climate crisis including the health impact from air pollution dwarfs any temporary growth from Heathrow's expansion.

They could play their part or even lead a mass expansion in European rail travel, and renationalise the broken UK system, offering modal shifts from the most destructive modes of transport. This would create huge economic opportunities.
