One Toronto City Councillor via text to me now that this story about the City of Toronto scalping thousands of tickets for-profit has gone viral thanks to Isaac’s digging:
“Fire SOMEONE. This is unacceptable & embarrassing. The optics are terrible, &, honestly, rightly so. Governments look bad because they do bad things, & this is one of them.”
This is the wildest World Cup story yet. If someone in Toronto sells a ticket above face value they get fined $25,000 yet the city of Toronto bought 3,500 World Cup tickets early and then sold them to taxpayers at a markup as a “revenue generation strategy.” What the hell man.
So Toronto Council and our hypocrite socialist Mayor just spent millions buying World Cup tickets to scalp at a profit (making the event even more unaffordable) while potentially violating provincial law which bans resale of sports tickets above face value https://t.co/hgMZ4A3kLs
Security Screening: Bin Laden network member who used fake passport to enter Canada 31 yrs ago wins latest appeal against deportation. https://t.co/jsyiV9KIqx
As I said after @PeelPolice's extortion bust last week, we need to deport anyone involved in criminal tourism immediately. @CanBorder needs to be much faster in responding to the growing criminal tourism
that we are seeing in our country. Organized crime is exploiting this vulnerability in Canada.
46 arrested
164 wanted
1400+ charges
NONE of the 46+164 are Canadian, PR, or on a work visa. Just visitors knowing we have the weakest laws & leakiest border.
What are Durham Police up against? What are WE up against? THIS. 👇
I praise them for their diligence.

Using taxpayer funds to fly to Olympics to drink is outrageous.
But snorkeling around the USS Arizona, a hallowed site where 1,177 Americans died, is downright shameful.
