Law Enforcement has completed its investigation of the traffic crash onΒ LA 1 south of the Golden Meadow Flood Gates. The roadway has now been reopened, according to the
Port Fourchon Harbor Police.

Cut Off, LA β Heading into the new year, the Board of Commissioners at the Greater Lafourche Port Commission has continued its mission to support the local community through another meaningful sponsorship agreement.
The LANEY CHOUEST completed the tow of the USS John F. Kennedy from Philadelphia to Texas. The vessel successfully navigated the tow through the Atlantic despite 20-30 foot seas and winds up to 55 knots, reinforcing ECOβs reputation for handling complex operations with expertise.
Great day as several local agencies, including our Harbor Police Department are out assisting the @CRCL1988 and @NFLGreen Team for their Super Bowl LIX Leeville Living Shoreline Project where oyster shells are being placed along the shoreline to help curb coastal erosion!

Please use caution while traveling, as icy conditions may still persist in some areas, especially on the shoulder of the highway.

As of 9 am today, Jan. 23, Elevated Hwy 1 is still closed. There is still ice, but it is melting. We will make you aware via messaging here and elsewhere when the highway has been opened for travel.
