Here are some quick facts:

- There is no such thing as an assault weapon. It's a term invented to scare people. And if we're talking about the most common international definition, it refers to full-automatic weapons, which have been banned in Canada since 1977.

- @Polysesouvient hasn't prevented a single shooting since the creation of their unregistered lobby. They are failing in their public safety mission, although that's not their primary objective.

- The red flag program has existed for decades, allowing anyone and the authorities to confiscate firearms from individuals who pose a direct threat to themselves or others.

- The confiscation program is there to buy Liberal votes in Quebec, period. Gary, our Minister of Public Safety, admitted it himself in a leaked audio recording.

- It's not the guns, it never has been.

- One last more for @alandrummond2 : Medical malpractice causes more deaths than guns in Canada. There, I've given him his line.
