Latest: artistic project in development SHIFTY

[Foxtale Ensemble @FoxtaleEnsemble]

Very sad news. NDT Broadgate was the first space we came together as a company post-pandemic. It was absolutely free, with the help of @MigrantsTheatre. Incredibly grateful to all of you!!

[New Diorama Theatre @newdiorama]

Having supported 8,800+ artists, today we hand back the keys to NDT Broadgate, marking the end of our 10th Anniversary season.

On Monday we'll announce something scary, but very necessary - so for today, we're inviting your memories from a year at Broadgate and a decade of NDT.

[Foxtale Ensemble @FoxtaleEnsemble]

We are doing a #virtualsharing this coming Sunday, 21st, where we'll invite you into the creative process of our new-show-in-development SHIFTY.

Get in touch if you want to join us and we'll share a zoom link with you!

SHIFTY is a time- & space-bending story about loneliness, isolation, cities & nature. Its characters share a block of flats & their lives collide in unexpected ways.

The company will open up their creative "kitchen" to share ideas & new developments.

I’m so happy to see @FoxtaleEnsemble continuing to develop their magic-realist piece SHIFTY after its 2019 residency at @VoilaEurope & @RichMixLondon. Catch their FREE virtual sharing on Sunday, 21 Nov at 6pm GMT.

Learning about resistance and difficulty. Familiar dragons that guard the gold. And the importance of solitude...Perhaps here we can learn the language of those great beasty teachers.

A city of loneliness...
The man whose window glows at night. The man called Taidekus. I am Taidekus.
I have lived other places, and it does not seem to me that this is what I do here. I sit, I stand, I stare.

5 months ago we wrote our blurb for SHIFTY, these words came to us:
"Today: outrageous is the new normal, isolation is rife...a world that slips between the real and the surreal"
Suddenly we find our words have taken on a whole new meaning...

We believe in creating for the sheer joy of it.
When our societies are torn by division, we need to feel empowered to effect change.
An empowering act is to create art that brings joy into our hearts. So this is what we shall do.
