The re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the just-concluded Osun election is a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our country under the All Progressives Congress administration.
I called Governor Ademola Adeleke @AAdeleke_01 earlier today to congratulate him on his election victory in Osun State. His victory once again confirmed the confidence the people of Osun State have in him.
I wish him great success as he prepares to lead the state for the next four years. Now that he has won, Governor Adeleke must unite the people of Osun State and rally them for growth, stability, and social and economic progress, regardless of the political choices they made at the election.
I salute the courage and discipline displayed by other contestants in the election. Their participation deepened and enriched our country’s democratic culture. The outcome of the election reflects the will of the people and is a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our land.
I must also commend the Independent National Electoral Commission and the security agencies for conducting a peaceful and transparent election that produced a clear winner.
May our democracy continue to thrive and be strengthened
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

WHY ÌJẸ̀BÚS WERE NEVER CAPTURED AS SLAVES.
It is on historical domain that the Ìjẹ̀bús were never captured as slaves, and had never lost a war; except the war they lost to the British Army in 1892. (The great Imagbon or Yemoji war.)
At the time when inter-ethnic wars, and
At plenary today, I raised a motion for an urgent federal government intervention in the recurring flood disasters in Sagamu and Ijebu Areas of Ogun East Senatorial district as well as in other communities across the country. Sen Sadiq Umar (Kwara North) joined me by drawing attention to Edu and Patigi Areas of Kwara North Senatorial district. On Tuesday, 11th of April, 2023, a 14-year-old student of Agbele Community High School was swept away in Sagamu with many others injured and properties worth millions of naira destroyed.
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) is doing well in forecasting such occurrences, but these efforts do not amount to much if other relevant agencies of government fail to be proactive in averting them and providing speedy support when necessary.
The Senate acceded to my motion by directing relevant agencies and departments to act decisively.
I will continue to follow up to ensure prompt compliance.
After my inauguration at the Senate, I wrote H.E Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, CON on June 14, 2023, to notify him of my decision to have the monthly payment of N676,376.95kobo being gross payment for my pension and allowances as former governor of the Ogun State suspended immediately.
This decision, I made, in good conscience, moral principles and guiding ethics.
It is also important to state that this is the only payment and package I get from the state government as a former governor.

@elonmusk Thank you for making the twitter space more free for we all to express ourselves. With the way twitter is going, the world will soon have many truths everywhere.
When you had the chance to join the party and make things work you didn't and you are here rejecting what is already a success... sorry oh. Atiku is the next President of Nigeria.
@Tweetydammy@AbayomiMighty If after these thorough explanations, all you can say is this, well, it only shows that you are all out to attack his person. It is crystal clear that your sense of judgement is beclouded by sentimentality. Open yourself up and read again, this time, without bias!
Thank you, H.E @AWTambuwal, for your spirited campaign. I look forward to working with you as we unite our party and our country. -AA #PDPPresidentialPrimaries
