✨ A special FPL season, courtesy @ManUtd ✨

This FPL season has felt… personal. 😄
I have done alright so far (OR 107k after GW24), and a not-so-small reason is simple: United.

❤️ Why United matters (to me, not your therapist)

I have followed Manchester United F.C. since October 2002. That is 23+ years of:

🏆 title highs
😮‍💨 final heartbreaks
😵 league chaos
…basically a long-term relationship with zero stability and full commitment.

⚽ The football bit (aka why this is not pure delusion)

Last season: 44 goals in 38 league games 😬
This season: 44 goals in 24 league games 😮🔥

Why the jump? Better attacking options (hello Mbeumo, Cunha, and young gun Benjamin Šeško) + a system that actually fits under Carrick.

🧠 FPL logic? Yes. Also: vibes. 😌
Many managers keep club loyalty separate from FPL. Totally fair.
Me? I mix them like chai and emotions. ☕💀

When Robin van Persie signed, I put him in my FPL team instantly.
First game: benched.
Did I panic? No.
Did I care? Also no. 😄

🧨 The “triple United” moment
GW6 wildcard: I had a full debate with my friend @UnderstandingF8 about going triple United.
He tried. He really tried.
I did not move. 😁🧱

So I ran with:
🔴 Bruno
⚡ Mbeumo
🎯 Šeško

That triple core stayed for a long time till Sesko and then Bruno got injured.

😤 And now?
While most people are “considering” or have already gone double United…
I am still sitting on the same 3 picks like a loyal idiot-genius. 🤝🧠

Yes, Šeško points can be 🌊 wavy.
But I rate him as a proper striker, and I am fine carrying that volatility. I have owned every one of his points so far, and I back more returns in the run-in. 🚀

🫶 Bottom line
When Manchester United F.C. does well, life feels better. FPL feels better. That is just how I am wired.

🔴✅ Triple United stays… unless the FPL gods force my hand. 😄🙏

I’ve been watching football since 2002 and I’m a proud @ManUtd fan. As my buddy @bazouks says, I come with an ancient, non-negotiable blind spot for my team. ☺️

I’ve been playing #FPL for 13 years — for the fun, the banter, the “why did I captain him?” regrets, and the occasional genius moment. Last year, I even won an original #Mbeumo jersey in my mini-league.

This season, I’ve been trusting my gut (dangerous, I know) and borrowing a few good ideas from the wider #CC crowd. Big shoutout to my OG @UnderstandingF8 — and to legends like @FPL_JianBatra @FPL_Harry @11filipnovak @FPLGOAT7 plus the Wire boys @Pras_fpl @lateriser12 @ZopharFPL for making FPL equal parts data, comedy, and chaos.

Result: somehow I’ve landed at #52kOR by the end of GW17. Yes, I’m also surprised.
