Pope Leo XIV sent a video-message to the young people participating in the annual “SEEK” Youth Conference in the United States.
In it, he says Jesus is asking each of us the same question he asked the first disciples: "What do you seek?" This shows that he knew what was in their hearts, and that they were “restless, but in a good way.”
The Pope explains there is only one answer to this question: Jesus.

Pope Leo XIV raised seven men and women to the honors of the altar on Sunday, as the Church celebrated World Mission Sunday.
During Mass in St. Peter’s Square, the Pope proclaimed these seven Blesseds to be canonized Saints in the Catholic Church: Ignatius Choukrallah Maloyan, Peter To Rot, Vincenza Maria Poloni, Maria del Monte Carmelo Rendiles Martínez, Maria Troncatti, José Gregorio Hernández Cisneros, and Bartolo Longo.
“Today we have before us seven witnesses, the new Saints, who, with God’s grace, kept the lamp of faith burning,” he said. “Indeed, they themselves became lamps capable of spreading the light of Christ.”

A Polish man has donated a purebred Arabian horse to Pope Leo XIV ahead of the weekly General Audience, saying he was inspired by the photo of the Augustinian Pope on horseback in Peru.
Proton, a purebred Arabian, was given to the Pope by Andrzej Michalski, owner and founder of the Michalski Stud Farm, in Kołobrzeg-Budzistowo, Poland.

Humility is really freedom from ourselves. Those who exalt themselves think that nothing is more interesting than themselves. Yet, those who know they are precious in God’s eyes have greater things of which to boast, and a dignity that shines on its own. #GospelOfTheDay (Lk 14:1,7-14)
To forgive does not mean to deny evil, but to prevent it from generating further evil. It is not to say that nothing has happened, but to do everything possible to ensure that resentment does not determine the future.
Gospel of the Day (Luke 12,13-21)
Someone in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, tell my brother to share the inheritance with me." He replied to him, "Friend, who appointed me as your judge and arbitrator?" Then he said to the crowd, "Take care to guard against all greed, for though one may be rich, one's life does not consist of possessions."
Then he told them a parable. "There was a rich man whose land produced a bountiful harvest. He asked himself, 'What shall I do, for I do not have space to store my harvest?' And he said, 'This is what I shall do: I shall tear down my barns and build larger ones. There I shall store all my grain and other goods and I shall say to myself, "Now as for you, you have so many good things stored up for many years, rest, eat, drink, be merry!"
But God said to him, 'You fool, this night your life will be demanded of you; and the things you have prepared, to whom will they belong?' Thus will it be for the one who stores up treasure for himself but is not rich in what matters to God."

Dear young people, Jesus is our hope. Aspire to great things, to holiness, wherever you are. Do not settle for less. You will then see the light of the Gospel growing every day, in you and around you.
Gospel of the Day (Matthew 13,47-53)
Jesus said to the disciples: "The Kingdom of heaven is like a net thrown into the sea, which collects fish of every kind. When it is full they haul it ashore and sit down to put what is good into buckets. What is bad they throw away. Thus it will be at the end of the age. The angels will go out and separate the wicked from the righteous and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth. Do you understand all these things?"
They answered, "Yes." And he replied, "Then every scribe who has been instructed in the kingdom of heaven is like the head of a household who brings from his storeroom both the new and the old." When Jesus finished these parables, he went away from there.

All of us need to ask the Lord to heal our way of communicating, not only so that we may be more effective, but also so that we may avoid wounding others with our words.
