Yes. They’ve been doing it for a long time, but now more people than ever are going to therapy.
When I was 19, back in 2008, I got a new therapist who introduced me to the idea that abuse could also be “emotional” or “psychological,” not just physical or sexual, and convinced me that my parents were abusive. We didn’t speak again until 2013, five years later, when my mom was diagnosed with cancer.
We’re very close now, but I can’t get that time back with them, nor can I undo the bad decisions I made while trying to navigate young adulthood on my own.
Now I’m very critical of trauma narratives. The concept creep of “trauma” and “abuse” has expanded those terms so much that any flaws or mistakes on your parents’ part are increasingly recast as forms of harm that cause irreparable damage, making them an easy scapegoat for any dissatisfaction you have in your life.
Caller: "Dave, I’m 26 with $1M net worth, a paid-off house, and inheritance… but my fiancée has big student loans.
I love her, but I worked hard for this money. I’m thinking prenup just in case.
Dave Ramsey: Son, if you can’t look that woman in the eye and say “What’s mine is yours,” you’re not ready to get married. Marriage isn’t 50/50 it’s 100/100.
Caller: But the student debt…
Dave: Pay it off the day after the wedding! You’ve got the blessing use it. Don’t bring a “mine vs. yours” contract into the bedroom.
Dave: Exactly. A prenup plants the seed of doubt. It says “I’m all in… except for this escape hatch.” That’s not how you build a rock-solid marriage.
Dave: Now, if crazy family members are trying to stir drama, okay, maybe a targeted agreement to protect the marriage from outsiders. But otherwise? Tear it up and go all in.
Caller: So… no prenup?
Dave: If you can’t trust her with the money, don’t marry her. But if she’s the one? Combine it all, slay the debt together, and build wealth as a team.
Caller: "I just recently graduated from residency to become an orthodontist, and I have student loans totaling just over $1 million.
"My interest alone is about $5,800 a month."
Dave Ramsey: "You're kidding." "What were you thinking?"
Caller: "Well, I wasn't thinking, clearly."
"My fiancée and I are trying to figure out the best way to attack this debt."
Dave Ramsey: "What will you be making as an orthodontist?"
Caller: "About $250,000."
Dave Ramsey: "If you make $250,000 a year, why are you only putting $120,000 toward your debt?"
Caller: "We're going to put as much as we possibly can toward the debt."
"We're hoping to eventually make payments of $20,000, $30,000, or even $40,000 a month."
"Otherwise, I'm just up a creek without a paddle."
Dave Ramsey: "If you only pay $10,000 a month, you're only clearing about $4,200 a month against a $1 million principal. It's going to take you decades at that pace."
Caller: "Yeah, that's what we realized when we looked at the numbers."
Dave Ramsey: "You and your fiancée have got to live like you're completely broke because you are broke."
"You are a negative millionaire."
"You shouldn't see the inside of a restaurant unless you're working there."
"Every dollar that isn't keeping the lights on needs to be thrown at this monster."
"You need to grow that practice so you can start throwing $20,000 or $30,000 a month at this debt. That's your only way out."
I don’t want to "download the app" to pay for parking. I don’t want to "create an account" to see a menu. I don’t want to "provide feedback" on a 30-second interaction. I just want to exist in the physical world without a digital leash.
These guys were trying to kidnap a child by luring him with something tempting 😡
But a quick-thinking man saved the kid with his fast action! 👏
The mother was so busy on her phone that she didn't even notice...
One small mistake could have cost everything.
In today's world, no place is truly safe anymore.
Parents, put your phones down and keep an eye on your kids at all times.
Big salute to the real hero who stepped in! 🔥
Major life hack: Don't complain, ever. Nobody likes a complainer. They drain the energy of everyone around them. It's exhausting spending time around someone who constantly complains about things outside their control. If it's within your control, go do something about it. If it's not, you're just wasting energy thinking about it. Complaining gives too much power to the thing. Take back that power.
Currently on a mission to wean my son off "aa chal ke tujhe" its driving the both of us mad. He needs to 'discover' the black keys and muse and what not.
This is Amaira's room, the Class 4 student who died by suicide at Jaipur's Neerja Modi School, due to classmates bullying and a teacher's apathy.
Imagine the agonizing plight of her parents. Every morning, they wake up to a quiet house, forced to step into an empty bedroom that still smells like their daughter, surrounded by her toys, books, and clothes. They are trapped in a nightmare where they must live with this crushing pain every single day, weeping into the silence with absolutely no relief. It cuts straight through your heart. No child, no parents deserve this.
Parents, save yourself from this situation: do not leave your child's safety and happiness to schools, society or the state. Be unapologetically protective. Look at every angle, anticipate every danger. Build a bond so solid that they know they can tell you anything without fear of judgment. Teach them to recognize when something is wrong, empower them to speak up and then, most importantly, handle the situation, because not handling a child's current problems to their expectations from you builds a wall that stops them from sharing future ones.
If you watch the full video, the woman describes a viral post on Chinese social media where a new dad asked other fathers for advice on how to avoid stepping up with the baby and housework so that his wife would stop asking him to “help”.
The responses weren’t just “act dumb”. They openly recommended weaponized incompetence. Offer to help with the baby or dishes, but do it so badly every single time that your wife ends up grateful you “tried” while knowing she can’t rely on you. Thousands of likes, with dads commenting “bookmarking this” and “I’ll do exactly that.”
This is the ugly truth. Men praise motherhood as “the most fulfilling job in the world” and then systematically manipulate women by offloading the real work. It’s disgusting.

An 18 day old baby rescued from the earthquake rubble in Venezuela is handed back to the Father. Notice the joy and love on everyone’s face especially the Father… can you imagine how he feels right now?
