Grand strategy games are not just a genre for the hardcore strategy gamers. It is today, one of the most played types of strategy games. How did grand strategy go from a grognard/ hardcore strategy gamers hobby, to a game that has a massive appeal to a much wider audience?

Youtube community posts that don't serve the audience also gets way less engagement. At least for small youtubers that have not found a core audience yet. Maybe I should just do it without caring. Maybe in some rare instance, someone might take note.

It's been a while since i released a video. It takes a while to make these videos. SO close but I'll upload next week. I wish I could speak to my small audience. But the conventional wisdom is that small youtuber shouldn't bother as video updates just don't reach enough people.

On 11 July at 7:24 PM, I was assaulted by two men at the Caltex petrol station in Sri Damansara.

I sustained a fractured eye socket and multiple injuries to my body. A police report has been lodged, and the case is currently under investigation.

There are a tonne of platforms and gurus selling you the promise of youtube growth. I think there is some useful things but don't take everything they say as true. Some are willing to bend the truth to hit their goals. Their goal is selling you subs not youtube growth.

A terrible thing is happening in my country. People shouldnt be assaulted for saying things. Not sure whether this is about his work but other football commentators have been attacked and threatened before. Just an indicment at the state of football here.

A YouTuber and football commentator suffered serious injuries after being assaulted by two unidentified men at a petrol station near Bandar Sri Damansara here last Saturday.

According to Harian Metro (HM), Petaling Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Shamsudin Mamat said his team received a report about the incident at 7.56pm.

He said preliminary investigations found that the victim, in his 40s, had stopped to inflate his car tyres when he was approached by two men on a Yamaha LC motorcycle with an unconfirmed registration number.

@perafilozof_YT I can't say for sure whether they are 'successful'. But what I do know is that they have been releasing games for over a decade or even longer. And it seems the only difference between them is the game title. TO be fair there could be minor differences. I've dmed you about it.

I won't name names. But there is a studio that keeps releasing almost the same type of game in different guises. Every year... ish. So instead of fixing and improving their one game, they rather quit the game with the mixed reviews and start from scratch. Pretty dodgy behaviour.

@perafilozof_YT Haha i see what u did there. Yearly sport games are are stupid. But when it comes to midsized or smaller studio releasing slop on steam... its not great. I think they found that releasing the same game rebranded as new makes enough money for them then trying to make 1 great game

Since I'm not focusing too much on featuring new strategy game releases, I am considering streaming new games. The question is whether to do it in youtube or Twitch. I feel Twitch is a much smaller thing and fits a more chill vibe for me. Gonna try streaming a little.
