@robeastaway Subtract the biggest number I know a third of and keep looking at what's left : 690 (third=230) leaves 84, 69 (third=23) leaves 15 (third=5).
Then add all the thirds of the individual parts 230+23+5=258
Very excited about working with @FlyingHighTrust teachers at this afternoon's Teach Meet. Looking forward to recreating a virtual buzz in the 'room', even if that won't work with the cones of chips!
@lmlhoney Pleased to hear you enjoyed the RI talk @lmlhoney and delighted that you're wanting to recreate the maths! If you watch this clip of the @24hmaths magic show from 9 mins https://t.co/43mQSSajIx you'll see the trick you're talking about.
So much to see and do at @MathsCityLeeds.
Do drop by if you’re in the area.
Our volunteers would love to see you and to help launch you on your mathematical adventure 🚀.
“Math Person” is a free verse poem by high school student Julia Schanen. Rather than try to describe it, let me just urge you to read it. It will take you a few minutes, and it will move you. https://t.co/nNqg34ihFW
