This Saturday, the @CoEBrwanda team participated in the International Waterbird Census at #Gatsata Wetland, assessing waterbird abundance, distribution, and population trends to inform conservation and sustainable wetland management.

Today at @CoEBrwanda, we hosted an interactive session with Year Two students from the @UR_CoE (Biology & Chemistry in Education) and the @UR_CAVM (Forestry Conservation & Ecotourism).

2/2: They also explored the full process of herbarium work-from field collection and drying to mounting and long-term preservation of plant specimens. This hands-on experience is essential for advancing plant science, biodiversity conservation, and wildlife protection in Rwanda.

After an insightful week of training on plant collections at #Ruhande Arboretum, @RwandaHerbarium interns are now set to advance their skills through georeferencing training this week , strengthening their capacity in biodiversity documentation and research
