NOW IN PAPERBACK "If I Had Your Face" by @Frances_H_Cha whose debut novel deftly renders a society in which upward mobility is extraordinarily difficult, and what passes as advancement for poor women is often soul crushing @randomhouse @JungYun71 https://t.co/JY9Z9Z3tOY
So fucked up that parents at my kids' predominantly Asian school are currently having conversations about increasing security because we are afraid of gunmen who might come in to massacre our children. Either because they are Asian or because they are children.
White journalists/editors: do not use language like the victim's family "CLAIMS"-"Daniel Dae Kim CLAIMS that his sister was attacked"- do your WORK and RESEARCH until you have full confidence in your own story. Do not take away the credibility of the Asians you are interviewing.
