@Radishwithchips@BareReality@MerrynSW My issue is 100% with the food - it's something I'm extremely passionate about. Since I had gestational diabetes during pregnancy, I've learnt loads about nutrition and the effect of carbs on the body. It's dismaying that our habits, knowledge and expectations are so lacking.
@Radishwithchips@BareReality@MerrynSW It would be good to do some reading about the role of carbs as a key driver in the obesity and diabetes epidemic.
@NoPoke@BareReality@MerrynSW The thing about carbs is that it's how much you have in a single sitting that counts - and does the damage in terms of blood sugar spike. Anyone with slight insulin resistance (which is up to 50% of adults, depending on age) would have sky high blood sugar after that lot.
@UK_Optimist@MovieMarauder4@PoliticsJOE_UK Just checking you understand that someone's gender identity is nothing at all to do with sexual expression? Maybe you got those two things confused? Whether I identify as a man or a woman is literally nothing to do with how or who I have sex with.

Today, I’m pleased to be joined by Prof Bee Wee CBE & Dr Lyndsey Williams to discuss how they’re making community palliative and end of life care a priority.

What does good care mean for someone at the end of their life?
It's important that all of a person's needs are met - personal and cultural, as well as medical. On 26 October we're welcoming Dr Lyndsey Williams to talk more about this can happen.
