The EU brings people home.

For the first time, 2 #rescEU planes, fully funded by the EU, are in the skies repatriating European citizens stranded in the Middle East.

So far, the 🇪🇺 Civil Protection Mechanism has supported 42 flights, helping over 4,100 EU citizens return home.

Last week, we mobilised a first batch of 447 generators - 300 already delivered.

Yesterday, we mobilised 500 more.

#Ukraine’s first responders are tackling the aftermath of last week’s Russian attack on the #Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

The EU is by their side, delivering equipment from rescEU stocks to support their efforts.

EU is responding to Ireland’s immediate request for assistance via the #EUCivilProtection Mechanism & closely coordinating its response to storm Éowyn.

Today, the EU conducted a medical evacuation of 6 critically ill Palestinian patients and 20 people accompanying them from 🇪🇬 to 🇳🇴 . EU Member States & #UCPM states continue to provide assistance to those in need of urgent care by supporting coordination & transport via #UCPM.
