I managed to make the tool work in C. autoethanogenum, even edit two genes at once, but many off-targets mutations also popped up, which made the final strain unusable. An underwhelming conclusion after so much time and efforts, but such is the way of science!

I tested Target-AID, a genetic tool based on CRISPR-Cas9 which has the potential to edit several genes at once in organisms with poor homologous recombination DNA repair systems.
