Minister Jenny McAllister says a woman needs to demonstrate two things to access either the Stillbirth Parenting Payment ($4.2k) or Paid Parentsl Leave ($22k):

1️⃣That they gave birth to a stillborn baby, and;

2️⃣That a medical professional has signed their Centrelink form confirming the birth of a stillborn baby.

In an abortion after 23 weeks a baby is injected with poison into the heart and delivered dead (stillborn). This means that the doctor or midwife present at the delivery of the aborted child can sign the paperwork and the mother can claim Paid Parental Leave of $22k.
