If you go back to Pt 2 of Peter’s story, he casually mentioned that while Jude was still managing the group, whenever either of the twins needed money, they would go through Jude. Peter even gave an example: if he needed to pay school fees or buy a car, they would tell Jude, and Jude would simply write three cheques for the same amount. So Jude takes equal share with the twins!

That explanation doesn’t seem to match the 40%–30%–30% sharing arrangement.

According to the agreement below, Peter and Paul were each entitled to 30%, while Jude received 25% as manager. An additional 15% was set aside for business expenses, maintenance, projects, and the running of Northside Entertainment. In total, Jude controlled 40% of the revenue in his capacity as manager and administrator of the business.

What I’m trying to understand is this: when major personal projects were being funded like building houses, how was the accounting done? How did they determine what was being spent on Jude’s personal house versus what was being spent on Peter’s or Paul’s?

Were those expenses deducted from each person’s share, or was everything simply paid out from a central account and balanced later?
