@thsottiaux Thank you, @thsottiaux! This is very much appreciated. Hope the rest of your day is a little kinder, and that you have a great weekend too!
3/3 | I designed the game in @figma, then used AI to help turn it into working code.
The human contributed the why. Design shaped the experience. AI accelerated the how.
Sometimes the most human ideas are already hiding in our own stories.

1/3 | When polish becomes easy, humanity becomes the difference.
This started with something small I loved as a child. Blob stickers, cardboard cities, and the joy of turning ordinary things into something more.
Years later, that feeling found its way back into my work.

2/3 | I wanted the blobs to carry more than joy.
So I linked each one to something I believe about learning, then sketched how people could meet them through a little game.
Joy first. Meaning underneath. Experience, not decoration.

2/2 • Mila shouldn’t have to appear more confident than she feels to take part.
Her story brings us back to a question for our own lessons: are we leaving room for students to contribute as themselves?
#LearningDesign#EducationDesign
1/2 • It’s easy to design lessons around the students who answer quickly and sound sure.
Mila’s story asks us to look at what taking part feels like for a student who needs a different way in.
You’re allowed to love what you’ve made and still decide to change it.
I only launched my website a few days ago… and I’ve already redesigned it.
Once it was out in the world, I realized something was missing. I wanted it to be easier to explore, more playful to interact with and, most importantly, genuinely useful for the person visiting.
So I (re)launched it.
There are now little blob characters I illustrated myself, intentional micro-animations and learning resources designed to give students room to think, create and participate.
Sometimes launching isn’t the end. It’s what helps you see what could be better.

I’m super excited to share the latest resource in my library! When I used to teach, I would often notice that two students could look at exactly the same thing and pick up completely different details. And thinking back, that’s where some of the best classroom conversations started!
That idea became ’What Did You Notice?’
Look once. Compare. Look again. It’s a simple activity that shows students how much another person’s perspective can add to their own.

3/3 • One final check before you share it.
Can students see where to start, what to do, what belongs together, and where to respond?
If not, fix the design before adding more explanation.
1/3 • I created this carousel because students often have to figure out the design before they can get to the learning.
A few small visual choices can make a huge difference. Here are some practical ones teachers and learning designers can use right away.
2/3 • A few more design moves that can make learning easier to navigate.
Show the order. Keep instructions with the task. Use type and color to guide attention.
What if today’s ordinary became tomorrow’s artifact?
The Future Museum gets students looking closer, imagining differently, and turning everyday objects into stories about life today.

“Wait… that’s not what I pictured.”
And that moment of surprise is exactly where Draw What Was Said gets interesting.
Every student receives the same instruction and draws what they understood. Then they compare the differences, notice what stayed the same, and talk about how meaning can shift between people.
A simple activity that opens up a much bigger conversation about communication, interpretation, and perspective.

“I missed a few days… where do I even start?”
My ‘Mission Rejoin’ activity helps students turn that overwhelmed feeling into a simple plan.
✅ What to start now
✅ Where to find support
✅ What can wait
There are also quick tips on the page for using the activity in class, including the partner swap and reflection.

The day before I was set to launch my new website, my health took an unexpected detour that put everything on pause.
Fast forward through ongoing treatment, and I’m taking things step by step, working toward stability and remission.
I’ve genuinely missed sharing online! This new site is my dedicated home base, launching today with a few initial resources.
My revamped newsletter is also launching soon with practical tools for you and your students. You can subscribe right now on the site.
It feels so good to get this out into the world! https://t.co/lCZmkDrYZ2

The fonts we choose shape how students experience what we create.
They can make things feel clearer
or a little harder to follow.
