@meganroseruiz I sincerely wish that teaching were a more accessible field to someone like yourself who clearly has years of professional experience, I teach public middle school art and the barrier to even get licensed is frustratingly expensive and time consuming.
@AsinusAdLyram It was very lucky that my next scheduled appointment aligned with the last day of school ๐ all my other baggage is going to stay in the carousel until further notice lmao
I enjoy participating in 8th grade graduation but also I'm glad I have a therapy appointment tomorrow to help me process how I'm feeling about it all. Proud of the kiddos as always but saying goodbye to the graduating class is not getting any easier in year 4 ๐
Finding something on a shelf out of my reach (I'm 6'0") and then having to improvise to get it down (big serving spoon) is something I haven't had to worry about in a very long time but an elusive bodega corkscrew managed to change that tonight.
Someone is playing electro swing at this IHOP and all the boomers here are trying to analyze it.
"I think it's techno, but it sounds like the '30s"
"it sounds like the needle keeps skipping on the record"
@Skatunenetwork It's a perfect love letter to the scene and I listen to it way more than NO DREAM, but yeah damn it's like what did we do to deserve a gift like this from Jeff
@elizmcmahill Real talk we just bought all of our furniture on fb marketplace or went to the thrift and definitely had moving boxes stacked in our house for months after we moved in and just covered them with a fabric throw lmao
@Skatunenetwork Mood, I didn't buy one until I was 29 because my Japanese mother insisted on cooking rice in her stovetop rice pot whenever we had it at home and I figured it was easier to just continue like that when I moved out
