@Ken__Fraser@01Danknee@ekwufinance Unfortunately there are very little deployed on the system. May take a decade + before we are there. I’d bet on multiple decades due to coal plant retirements and insane load growth from data centers.
@atj721@periodicaudio@ekwufinance All incredibly expensive to the consumer. There also isn’t infinite transmission, so there are reliability risks.
Nuke, and to an extent coal, outages are planned much in advance and during shoulder months where it’s not a big issue. Though, coal is prone to unplanned outages.
This is when you knew ESPN and the SEC had it rigged for Bama no matter what. When they made it sound like Bama escaping Auburn who was so bad this year that they fired their coach was like beating the 85 Bears. They looked really good in the 1st half is such a hilarious line
I don’t see this changing, unfortunately. The truth is, Bill DeWitt Jr. made his bed when he said owning a franchise isn’t as profitable as one might think. Then his son laughed at the fans’ response of not showing up, stating that it would just make them spend less.
St. Louis is a proud city, and that includes the St. Louis Cardinals. That’s our team—it’s still our team.
What the DeWitts fail to realize is that we’re not showing up because we’re not interested in them. We’re not broke and unable to afford coming to games. It’s not even entirely about the wins and losses on a nightly basis—we don’t expect to win a championship every season.
We’re not coming out because of the opposite: we love this franchise. It’s in our blood. Cardinals baseball is different from any other baseball town in this country—it’s our creed. We’re brainwashed from birth to love those birds.
We love them more than you do, and we see what you’ve done. We see how you’ve treated them. We finally see you, the DeWitts, for who you are: outsider businessmen who never understood what this city is or what this team means.
They posed long enough to convince us they did. They thrived on luck—from the initial investment, to McGwire, to the one-in-a-million draft of Molina and Pujols, to having a solid GM in Walt who made magic with every move. They just sat back and called themselves stewards of a prestigious franchise—until it wasn’t.
It’s the most common saying in life: don’t bite the hand that feeds you. And they bit us—they bit us hard.
We love this team, our bloodline for the next thousand years. As long as this world spins and baseball is played, we will love this team.
We just figured out they don’t. And here in this city, we’re all too familiar with snakes taking away things we love.
So it’s time to call a spade a spade and have a real, honest conversation about a couple of snakes. #STLCards #ForTheLou
NEW: Line of travelers overflows to almost the *highway* outside of St. Louis Lambert International Airport, leading to many missing their flights.
This is insane.
Hundreds of people were seen lined up outside the airport, in a line that almost reached the I-70.
The massive line was reportedly caused by a Seventh Day Adventist conference.
One traveler reportedly spent 3 hours in line only for Southwest Airlines to mark him down as a “no show” leaving the customer out $12,000.
According to Pakistani security officials who spoke to CNN, last night’s aerial “dogfight” between the Indian and Pakistani Air Force, which Pakistani officials claim resulted in the downing of at least five Indian fighter jets, was one of the “largest and longest in recent aviation history,” involving a total of 125 fighter jets battling for over an hour in the skies above the border regions of India and Pakistan. During the battle, neither country's aircraft are said to have entered the other's airspace, with air-to-air missile exchanges happening at distances sometimes greater than 160 kilometers.
@Brummel_PHS I just think with one of the best 3 point shooters ever and how little big leads mean in the NBA it’s odd. Craziest part they were down 13 with 5 and didn’t try.
This growing belief online that ESPN+ is bad couldn’t be more wrong
Access to every college sporting event, NHL Game, Disney+, and Hulu for $17 a month is legit the best deal in streaming
You wouldn’t last a week having to watch your favorite team on FloSports
