@JimIrsay Still from a home movie I shot in 1971 or 72 of Hugo and Lolita swimming past the underwater viewing window in their tank. So amazing for a kid to see and so heartbreaking to learn as an adult what those poor, intelligent creatures went through… especially in Lolita’s case.

@JimIrsay I just heard of Lolita’s passing. I was a small boy when she was brought to the MS to join Hugo. I remember that so well. Seeing them was wonderful for a kid. As an adult, knowing how they (especially her) suffered is beyond sad! TY FOR ALL YOU DID TO HELP HER!

He was a wonderful man, more like Walt than anyone you could know. He had nothing to do with the Nix visit to WDW. I know the real reasons he left Dis and it wasn’t the WDW land secrecy issue

@TomKMorris @RbrtL1981 I was there, standing just off camera on October 3rd, when Smith-Hemion productions shot the pre-taped segments with Danny Kaye in front of Spaceship Earth. The parts where it’s raining and he says he’s live, WERE live that night and added into “holes” in the taped show.

@SantinaLula They were known by at least three names over the years: Water Mice, Water Sprites and Aqua Larks. I remember them best as Aqua Larks from my first experience in 1976.
