Che Ahn is exaggerating. The city and county sent the same standard cease and desist order to my church, GCC where John pastored with the same standard threats of imprisonment and/or fine up to some dollar amount. They of course never truly enforced it and in point of fact, the sheriff at the time AND the chief of police told John personally that they didn't care if we met and they wouldn't arrest anyone.
This clown is like 10 miles from Grace Community. Both churches were experiencing the same state and county governmental restrictions during Covid. The county would send the standard cease and desist order to any business or church that violated the lock down orders, and they all had the same legal threat of both arrest and fine assessment.
However, at no time did any law enforcement ever actually threaten to arrest anyone either staff or members. We even served lunch to nearly a hundred LAPD officers who attended one of our "illegal" church services a couple of Sundays after the BLM riots in LA.
As I understand it, the fine was something like 500 dollars for every time the church was open and would not be assessed until after lawsuits went through the court. And GCC won all of those and had the city pay us for our inconvenience.
My jaw literally dropped listening to this
Pastor Che Ahn is the pastor who was threaten with arrest and a $4.5 million dollar fine by Gavin Newsom for opening his church during Covid
He was told if he fights in jail DEMOCRATS WOULD ARREST HIS CHURCH MEMBERS
โThe Marxist playbook is to bankrupt you if you disobey and put you in prison. They were going to put me in prison. But what was really, really scary to see how how egregious and totalitarian they were, they said, when you're in jail and if you continue to meet, then we're going to arrest your church members. This is in the United States of Americaโ
Democrats must never gain power again
In 2020, Ahn and his church defied Governor Gavin Newsomโs restrictions on indoor worship
I confirmed officials threatened criminal charges, up to 1 year in jail for Ahn, daily fines and arrests of attendees of his church
He was only saved by the Supreme Court
The church sued, arguing the rules were unconstitutional, claiming discriminatory against religion. The case went to the US Supreme Court which issued rulings favoring religious freedoms
California Governor Primary results, so far. The ballots counted today, and for the next 30 days, will lean Democrat. Right now it's Hilton and Becerra going on to the November election.
@jarvis_best@MarkRuffalo I would so vote for you. Not that you are competent or anything, I mean you could be better than the other guy, I just value the high entertainment hijinks you would bring to the job.
