The only business I engaged in was selling my paintings. I averaged about $225k per year in income over the 4 years of my Dad’s presidency. Now you may be outraged by that but where is your outrage over Don Jr opening a private members club next to the White House called the Executive Branch club where the stated purpose is to rub shoulders with senior White House officials and Cabinet members. And the initiation fee is $500,000. Where is your outrage over Peter Navarro calling from inside the WH to push the Pentagon to grant the largest loan it has ever made to any company for a rare earth startup backed by Don Jr. Where is your outrage when Donald Trump took a Boeing 747 from the government of Qatar. Four hundred million dollars. Over a billion dollars in tax payer money for upgrades. The most valuable gift any foreign government has ever given the United States. And when he leaves office, it goes to his library.
He sued his own IRS for ten billion dollars and settled. And the settlement declares the IRS, and I am quoting the filing here, is “forever barred” from pursuing its audits of him, his family, and his companies.
According to AI Gemini, "The Washington Post is widely considered a highly reliable and authoritative news source. It is one of the most respected publications in the United States and serves as a prominent newspaper of record." MAGA, Donald Trump is looting America.
This is so insanely corrupt, I can’t even believe it.
More than half the donors to Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom just won over $50 billion in new federal contracts in six months.
And here’s the part that should make your blood boil.
Sixteen of these 27 donors were facing federal enforcement actions, antitrust reviews, labor cases, securities charges. Many of those cases have been quietly dropped or scaled back since Trump took office. You write a check, your legal problems disappear. That’s not a coincidence.
The White House won’t even release the full donor list. They’re hiding it on purpose, because daylight is the one thing pay-to-play can’t survive. A federal judge already ruled ballroom construction has to stop until Congress authorizes it.
Government is supposed to serve the people, not auction itself off to the highest bidder. When access goes to whoever pays the most, working families always end up paying the price.
We either end the corruption, or the corruption will end us.

New statement from Scott Pelley:
There has never been anything in America like 60 Minutes.
The Sunday tradition is the most successful program of any kind in history. For more than a decade, its innovative growth on every major online platform has extended its reach to countless millions around the world. This spring, at the end of our 58thseason, 60 Minutes grew rapidly with an unheard-of 9% jump in viewers on CBS.
“60” has been the number-one program in America for decades because our beloved audience finds integrity, quality, and humanity in our stories. When stewardship of the program passed to my colleagues and me, our responsibility was to expand energetically into a new age of media technology while preserving the values our audience expects. Now, the new owner of our network is casting this legend aside, apparently to curry a moment of favor with the Trump administration.
The waste is heartbreaking.
Last month, 60 Minutes lost its DNA when our entire senior leadership and two of our best on-air correspondents were cruelly fired without cause. Good people were silenced because they stood up for our audience. They stood for fairness against the forces of political bias; they stood for professionalism against chaos.
For my part, new management has instructed me to inject falsehoods and bias into a politically sensitive story. I’ve been told to include assertions that are unverified. To date, in every case, I have managed to ignore these instructions or refuse them. Recently, politicians have been invited to choose correspondents for interviews on the broadcast. Giving politicians control over 60 Minutes interviews is not how this is done. Finally, incompetence and unprofessionalism in the new management have wreaked havoc. In a case involving one of my stories, the entire program came within 19 minutes of not getting on the air at all.
At 60 Minutes, we have fought harder than anyone knows to save the program that became an American icon. We owed that to our millions of viewers. I am deeply moved by the thousands of wishes we have received to “keep up the good fight.” Most of the men and women of CBS News are still in that fight. But now the collapse of values at the top has become untenable. The leadership of 60 Minutes is no longer recognizable. The principles I hold dear are gone, and so I must leave as well.
I depart after 37 years at CBS with one emotion—a heart brimming with gratitude for the men and women of CBS News who encouraged and enriched my work, very often at the risk of their own lives. I pray for a day when those people and their ideals are honored again—a day when sanity, competence, and courage return.

oh my goodness -- Ted Lieu played Rubio a video of Trump sleeping while Rubio tried to talk to him during a cabinet meeting. Then this exchange happened:
RUBIO: I've never seen him fall asleep
LIEU: I'm gonna show you a video that shows you just lied to Congress
*plays another video of Trump sleeping by Rubio*
So let me get this straight.
Jake Tapper is focused on attacking my Mom.
Jared and Ivanka are building a private island paradise on Albanian protected land.
Don Jr married the daughter of Epstein’s banker, and a startup his fund backs just got a record $620M Pentagon loan.
Eric is taking an Israeli drone company public for $1.5B in the middle of a war with Iran that nobody wanted.
And I know: “But what about your paintings, Hunter?”
Please.

CARNEY: Russia is losing 35,000 troops a month, faster than it can replace them. They are not gaining territory. Pressure on Russian economy is mounting. Ukraine is striking increasingly deep into Russian territory. As you can see, balance of forces is moving in Ukraine’s favor.
If you get a payout from Trump’s January 6 slush fund, California will tax it at 100%.
People who assault cops and overthrow democracy don’t deserve a taxpayer-funded payday.

@CNN Trump was not just accused, he was found liable for sexual abuse and defamation by two juries and E. Jean Carroll was awarded $88.3 million. DOJ is now persecuting her for Trump, who was a private citizen, and taxpayers are footing the bill.
One by one the headliners are backing out of the Great American State Fair. It seems that they were lied to by Trumplicans. Vanilla Ice will still be performing!
@woke_tomorrow 2/ "However, the presiding judge, Lewis Kaplan, later clarified that this verdict meant Trump had committed "rape" under the broader, everyday definition of the word." Still finds Trump to be a sexual abuser at best!
DOJ is investigating E. Jean Carroll because private citizen Donald Trump was found liable by a jury for sexual abusing and defaming her. "In July 2023, Judge Kaplan said that the verdict found that Trump had raped Carroll according to the common definition of the word."
The Justice Department has launched a criminal investigation into E. Jean Carroll, who accused Trump of sexual assault, according to sources https://t.co/02wWEO1bXq
@woke_tomorrow "A federal jury in the civil case Carroll v. Trump found him liable for sexual abuse and battery but stopped short of finding him liable for statutory "rape" as strictly defined under the New York Penal Law at the time, which required proof of penile penetration."
American taxpayers are footing the bill for DOJ to investigate the woman who two juries found that private citizen Donald Trump sexually abused and defamed. Let that sink in. #corruption#AmericanJustice
This week alone:
DOJ opens an investigation into the woman Trump raped.
The White House is caught steering a $620 million contract to Don Jr.’s firm.
The Pentagon hands out a $10 billion contract after Trump buys stock in the company.
Foreign governments are caught funneling hundreds of millions into a random JPMorgan account tied to Trump’s “Board of Peace” with no oversight.
It’s just Thursday.
The corruption isn’t hidden anymore. It’s happening out in the open.
