@Action_NC Displacement and gentrification are already happening. Voting no won't stop growth. Voting yes gives us more options to mitigigate the growth.
@Action_NC Wow. U have no faith in the city council members and county commissioners u see on a daily basis to appoint people representative of the entire community. Disheartening your lack of faith in people u and your supporters helped elect.
8p Tonight. Let's gooo! We know our history and we are on the right said of it. Are you? Improving tranportation gives everybody a shot to thrive regardless of their zipcode. Vote yes today, tomoro or Tues. @wtvipbsclt@Action_NC@YesforMeck@DavidHowardCLT
Our Elected Officials have shown overwhelming support for the 1% Transportation Referendum our region so desperately needs. With critical elements like green light synchronization, Red Line rail construction, enhanced bus routes & microtrasit, vote FOR the referendum #YesFORMeck
We feel proud to take part in the screening of Blind AF at the Independent Picture House this week, hosted by Lion Services. Events like these remind us how important it is to build a community and infrastructure that supports access for everyone. ๐

@Action_NC@clt_alliance Local people can also make spelling errors and still ask you vote #yesforMeck. As a former local reporter, unfortunately I know all about typos. #yesforMeck
๐ฆItโs official: This November, Mecklenburg voters will decide on a 1ยข sales tax for stronger transportation.
Better roads. Accessible rail. Reliable buses. One penny unlocks $25B in improvements.
The future is in our hands. Vote #YesForMeck
@Action_NC@clt_alliance I want CATS to improve the current routes b4 adding new routes. That way we can stop seeing these booty DIY reports about how bad it is to ride the bus.
@Action_NC@clt_alliance@CLTgov@MeckCounty Hmm, I was @BOCC where several regular users spoke of supporting the referendum. It's ironic that the loudest opponents aren't daily transit riders.
Excited to continue to show support for #yesformeck and looking forward to enjoying a transportation system that leads to better jobs and less time stuck in traffic.
๐ฆ Today we launched @YesforMeck โ an education campaign around the November transportation referendum in Mecklenburg County.
We heard from Mayor Vi Lyles, business leaders & community members about why better transit matters for our future. Learn more: https://t.co/NEvDRMuGZF #YesforMeck
@Action_NC I'm doubling down the applause! For real. Since most of the social comments I see come from Action NC's acct, I assumed it was organizational not personal opposition.
Hey, @Action_NC, is Robert Dawkins no longer a paid activist? His latest email: "Iโm spending my time educating the public as opposed to spinning messages & collecting checks out of that $3 million corporate campaign to sway the community." Is this his voluntary passion? Amazing.
@Action_NC Sherri talked about a pilot program in Minn. that gave students free bus passes and how they saw a 23% percent reduction in student absentism.
Last night, #BOCC voted #YesforMeck with only 1 commissioner opposed to allowing voters to choose for themselves. Was honored to speak alongside Mel Watt, Davidson Mayor Rusty Knox, Kieth Cockrell, fellow PTAC members, Eric @Sustain_CLT Carol H. James Lee & LOO's Sherri.
