@randy_westlund Keep building up a ‘downtown’ along the Spokane st corridor and integrate with Falls Park, the Marina, and Q’emlin park. The bones are there for a rival to downtown CDA. Already lots of good progress but still tons of empty space down there, seems like it’s happening slowly.
@politicalmath All apps gradually devolve into short form video. Even ESPN has a tik tok type short video thing now. On X they pop up all the time in the for you feed.
One type of AI writing not being discussed enough: internal AI writing at companies.
People are leveraging AI to write internal docs (playbooks, plans, content briefs, meeting agendas, etc.) which may be faster and easier, but many aren’t considering their audience.
Business writing needs to be succinct and to the point, no fluff. Otherwise it causes headaches and reading fatigue. With AI, your written voice becomes like that person that talks too much in meetings because they want to sound smart, it’s honestly terrible and insulting to the reader.
People using AI writing either need to edit the writing themselves to make sure it actually is sensible, meaningful, and succinct, or just write the damn bullet points themselves.
Don’t make us read through your fluffy bloated AI docs and spreadsheets, cut to the chase and deliver meaning and actionable insights instead.
I don’t care if you use AI to do this, just don’t make me read endless AI slop at work.
@zerohedge Some of these numbers are off. E.g, Oakland’s population is around 440,000. If the murder rate is 8 per 100k, then they should have around 35 murders, but you’re showing 130+ murders. The murder rate is much higher than what this shows.
@Crad03@CDeBenedetti This video is insane and will never happen again. This is what they lost. Look at the Raiders crowd last week in Vegas, no home team, no love…at least we have some amazing memories.
2010 was a better time for authenticity. Watch a reality TV show from back then and see for yourself. People were fully themselves and more direct and honest. They weren’t anywhere near as afraid of being judged, and they still had normal focus and attention spans so they had real personalities.
Watch a reality show from 2025 and its frantic energy, split attention spans and fake, frenetic people. Hardly any true, deep honesty, lots of fake empathy and bowing down to feelings and perceptions of what others think of you.
It wasn’t cool to be worried what others think in 2010. In 2025, everyone is terrified of being their honest selves and it’s starting to crack our foundations as a society…we need to bring back 2010 honesty and our real personalities to the forefront again.
Being a father is everything. There’s exponentially more meaning and love in every action, every breath. I am so much more, and I have purpose and reason. A beautiful reason to keep going everyday, to work hard, to become something great, an example and a provider to look up to, and to love greatly.
All of my life is a transition. If you’re not in some sort of transitory phase, not getting used to something new, you’re stuck. Right now, I’m transitioning to life with a baby, being a father of two, and expanding my heart with more love than I thought possible.
Thinking without distraction for one solid hour gives me better, stronger, and more deeply absorbed revelations than consuming self help content could provide in a year.
@AJA_Cortes Yup, this is me. I could stand to lose 30 lbs, but I look kind of jacked with my shirt. The fat is getting more obvious over time. However, I lift and am much stronger than I was 30 lbs ago...so I must have gained some muscle along with all that fat.
