There is an aspect to life that I really really don’t like which is that random bad things can happen to you totally outside your control.

You can try to be careful and do everything right and then some horrible thing that you didn’t anticipate will come out of nowhere.

I remember reading a story about a couple that went on bike rides together, they seemed really fit and healthy.

They were riding in Napa on the side of the road when a truck drove past them with a huge board hanging off it and they literally got cut in half.

They were on the shoulder, had helmets and were in a nice area but none of that mattered in the end because something totally outside their control destroyed them.
