Today marks 6 years since Taner Kılıç, then chair of @amnesty Türkiye board, was detained in İzmir.
A month later 10 other rights defenders were detained during a human rights workshop in Büyükada.
Taner spent over 14 months behind bars.
May today be the end of this injustice!
After the convictions of Taner Kılıç, İdil Eser, Özlem Dalkıran and Günal Kurşun were overturned by the Court of Cassation, Büyükada / Rights Defenders Case, in which 4 rights defenders are on trial, is being held again.
We will be in Çağlayan Courthouse to monitor the hearing.
