Capitalism flows around the rules and regulations of its environment. If there are no rules it extracts everything it can from labor, given enough time. If full benefits and a 14 hour work week were gradually targeted starting in the 1970s we’d have a much healthier economy.
"However, it's also important to remember that the Noosphere is not just a repository of Murphy's Law stories. It's also a space for resilience, humor, and the shared human experience of navigating the complexities and uncertainties of life." -- Google Bard AI.
@IkkyusDen@The4thWayYT I too think they are the same thing. Healthy versus unhealthy is another kind of construct based on your present assessment and future expectations of your life conditions.
@LucreSnooker People experiencing spiritual awakening often report diminished or the complete lack of fear. I wonder if this is related to a change in the amygdala?
@loveofdoing@nickcammarata Having had the unitive experience, I think this man never had the I/Other top-down predictive process before Schaller. He only had the subjective experience that we are all born with. With the sense of I/Other he gained the objective self and was overcome with emotion.

I've read and thought about the Ripple decision for a few days now, and here are some thoughts from the perspective of someone with an appellate law background. (I clerked on the DC Circuit and the Supreme Court, and practiced as an appellate lawyer.)
@RonFilipkowski I always find it curious that many of these folks consider themselves “patriots” while whey wave the flag of a man and not our country.
@loopholekid If you are talking telekinesis I’d start with experimenting with something like a ping pong ball on a flat level surface. If you are talking about physical manipulation I’d think it would be material dependent. Actually even telekinesis would likely be material dependent.
@loopholekid 3D is just an interpretation of shadows, points, and perspective lines. The semi-transparency is due to the binocular nature of vision where behind can be seen by one eye and not the other.

@ruth_hook_ Go sit in an airport and confront your fears. Don't bring your phone, a book nor anything else. Keep your head up. Look where you want to look. Make eye contact. Persist through the anxiety. If you can bear to do this for a few hours you will be radically transformed.
@jim_rutt Could be done on top of OByte. 5MB of tweets would cost under $1.00 to post and $0.00 for anyone in the world to retrieve -- forever. Even with images we wouldn't be talking a significant amount of money.
@EngineMode11 if there is something loose on the car and the driver goes past the pit lane they should get a 10 second stop-and-go if the part comes off. Period. This drive it until it falls off is crazy. The incentives to be corrected.
