A cost of living crisis, farmers quitting everyday, UK self sufficiency dropping fast, obesity proliferating & convenience the name of the game. All this while supermarkets post record profits, anyone still think we have a functioning food system? #timeforchange
51.34 miles since 2 Jan for @_Run1000 #teamengland, plus 2 miles chasing 5 scumbags I caught trying to set fire to straw barn Friday night four pints down in full shooting gear less the shotgun. Thanks to MrsB for the encouragement as ever. Might even carry on into Feb!!
Imagine walking into Tesco for your weekly shop and finding row after row of nice, tidy, low maintenance shelves but without the food. You and your kids would starve. That's how Bees, Birds, Hedgehogs etc feel when they visit your plastic garden #TimeForTurf#DontBeAnEmptyTescos
Blame a farmer , it’s easier and they don’t employ expensive PR spin to defend themselves - Map: this is where raw sewage overflows in Herefordshire https://t.co/amaOiHAnyn
The attached article concern me.
UK government claims emissions have reduced by 44% since 1990 but this excludes emissions from international aviation, shipping and ALL imports.
This incentivizes offshoring of production; a lazy way to reduce emissions.

Pleasantly surprised to see this on the UN stand at COP. Long overdue recognition that grasslands play a massive part when it comes to carbon storage. After speaking to those on the stand there was clear acceptance that proper grazing management has a vital role. About time.

Today the "enemy" is systemic environmental collapse.
Accelerated by our astonishing levels of waste.
The difference is that waste, otherwise known as consumerism, is now treated almost as a patriotic duty.
2nd Battalion @yorksregt have returned to @bfcyprus after deploying to assist the evacuation effort in Kabul. A remarkable contribution in challenging circumstances. Well done to #2YORKS for all they have delivered with courage and compassion #FFTB@16AirAssltBde@BritishSoldier
The latest @molevalley newsletter speaks of prices for artificial nitrogen, phosphate and potash being nearly doubled in the past year.
Luckily, clovers keep on working with no increased charges!! ☘️☘️
Last night we required an ambulance in a remote, difficult to access area of the farm. 1st real use of @what3words and it took all that difficulty and confusion out of the situation to get the help to where it was needed. Everyone should familiarise with the app, a game changer.
